Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a certain technique as to how fast a Squash should receive pollen to make it go High Quality? I've made about six small squash and they all turned out low quality.
I've tried giving it pollen each second, 2 seconds apart, 5 seconds apart and 10 seconds apart.
Or is it pure chance?
This is probably just coincidence but the few that I have managed to get pollen for (humph 2 pollen in 2 hours!!) I did a couple whilst I was leveling and got low quality, I did 3 right outside towns and got high quality.
you can tell by the comments the pumpkin makes what type it will be. For it to be high quality all it's remarks must be happy/positive. No yuck's etc and there is one specific comment it makes that will let you know for sure but I cannot recall it off hand...I think it might be 'you DO understand!'
Actually you can tell by what happens after you feed it. If you see the brihg blue aura that flows around him afterwards its good. If you see it go up in a puff of fire/smoke on top of his head then its bad. As long as you get 3 outta 5 good responses then it'll be high quality. :D

Ya thats how you tell what you are going to get. But there is no formula to getting high quality squash all the time. It's just a smaller chance of getting a high quality squash.
It really doesnt matter though good or bad quality I have gotten the same amount of stuff from both and have even gotten B wep enchants from bad quality small squash.
One thing I have noticed though is the chance of getting a soul crystal is alot less than last time. I have popped 10 4 large and about 20 small squash and havent gotten a soul crystal yet. Last time during pumpkin event I got a soul crystal in almost every pumpkin.
