I can't belive what happend to me, I'm so miserable...
I disconected from server due to a problem of my ISP while hunting with my wolf, and when I managed to log in again many hours later, my wolf was gone.
A frind of mine who was in my party told me that when I faded away from the screen, my wolf was still there, waiting for several minutes, and then he disapeared.
I am so disapointed, I'm thinking of abandoning this game...
First of all sorry for your loss i know how bad it must be loosing a high lvl wolf.
As from my experience you only loose the pet if it dies and it is not rezzed in 20 mins after you disconected.
If it is still alive it get unsummoned and you have the collar in your inventory.
Also If you have a full inventoty all items the wolf holds will drop on the ground so be sure you always have a few slots left to avoid wolf equip loss.
I'm a SwS lvl 60 and my wolf lvl 52. I experience plenty of problems with my ISP these days. I desconected unwillingly at least 5 more times the past few weeks, but everytime I went back my wolf was in my inventory. This time he wasn't. My inventory was not full at the time I disconected, I my wolf was not dead, either were we attacked by monsters during that time. Anyway, it is supposed that when one disconects, his pet goes to inventory. But even if my wolf was dead at the time of the dc, shuldn't it appear again dead when I loged in later on?

Gm's will say everything is fine in their end of the server, that it is a problem with your client etc etc etc no refunds etc etc etc, being there done that

Nope when the wolf was dead when u disconected he stays in game for 20 mins at the place he died. After the 20 mins the pet just disapear.
This is correct. But, that is not what Shiva said happened. He said the wolf was not dead when he D/Ced. His friend said the wolf waited several minutes and then faded away.
What should have happened, and you would not get the pet back if it happened this way, was that the wolf would have starved to death, died (visibly to your friend,) lain there for 20 minutes, and then faded away.
Your wolf faded while still alive, if your friend's description is accurate. I wish he'd taken a screen shot showing it alive and the time. If that is what happened, the GM's might give it back, since you didn't get the usual 20 minutes to rez him due to the game fading him away.
There is another possibility. Sometimes items in your inventory are not visible. I've picked up things and not seen them in my inventory, UNTIL I re-logged in the next day. Have you only logged in once since this happened?
And one final thing to check. If you were in a party, have your party folks look in their inventories. The wolf isn't a normal summons, and something weird happened. Perhaps, just perhaps, the wolf collar was 'put' into some party member's inventory. I can't really see how this could happen, but I'd check it anyway.

hey go play world of warcraft "like i do" make a hunter type and tame your pet what ever beast type you want can be a pet (eazy leveling, pet skills and don't die in a couple of hits) for all the wow haters, "sorry but wow is better then l2 atm, better support, low or no bots, great economy"
