In the grand tradition of game betas and in celebration of the new release of Chronicle 5 on the Test Server, Lineage Radio is holding a one day preview event so you can get a taste of what's to come.
Tune in on July 29th around 6:00 PM CDT and help stress test the servers by tuning in and bringing all of your friends along, too! Meet the new DJs and the IRC staff, participate in the first contest to win a free 60 day game card, and much more!
Please visit Lineage Radio (http://www.lineageradio.com) to read more about how to tune in to the official Internet radio station of Lineage II!
By 6PM CDT, we will have the links up and ready for you all to click on :) We support most players of your choice. My personal preference is WinAmp but if you like WMP or Itunes we can do that too!
It will be pretty simple, there will be two streams for you to connect to on saturday, A 56k stream and a 128k stream! Now, the 56k is a lower quality stream and the 128k is the higher quality! All you do is click the link under the player of your choice and Bingo! you should connect in a few seconds!
In a few hours, I will post what messengers we will be using and the names that you will be able to chat with a DJ who is live on the air. You can request songs during the "beta" and also have shoutouts to all your friends, which is why it is great to have all your friends listening!! This is YOUR radio station!
I most definitely am in the IRC Channel that LineageRadio is providing for awhile. All you need to do is go to www.lineageradio.com (http://www.lineageradio.com) and click on the chat link in the upper left hand corner. If you dont have an IRC client we have a java client all set up for you, so you can basically just hop right into the channel! If you have any questions, come to that channel and I will talk to you all individiually (or a group if thats what you wish) and help you out! If I'm not there, SOMEONE is there to field your questions! I promise!!
Thanks so much for your quick responses on the thread!
*wipes his brow*
It's a race to keep up with you fantastic people :)
Any possibility that you guys record it for possible to stream it an later time ( ofcorse not live ) as I and quite many can't always be up that late ^^.
haha! nice job. Love to listen to the dj, but music sux a bit :P
I was thinking just the opposite but...
Opinions are like [923]'s. Everybody has one.
Okay, let me expound. The music is not necessarily my "cup of tea" (except Iron Maiden) but I generally keep an open mind about new music, except for country. However, the DJ that is current on just doesn't have what I consider to be a "radio voice". He sounds like he shouting and it's abrasive. Also, it is not necessary to jibba jabba between every freakin' song.
My humble opinion from a long-time radio listener.

It's opening night, and kind of gives a sense of the communication between people contacting the station and him. I think it helps emphasize the community nature of the station, at least opening night. But personally, on weekends, I'd like him to cycle through siege updates for each server. Get a live report of simply who's winning where server by server, one each between songs.
But as for voice, it's better than most of the local voices for my college station :p
Definately gonna bookmark it.
I wasn't a fan of most of the music (though I did like a few songs), but I do admit that I have a very odd taste and catering to me would probably be a bad move for the station.
That said, I'll give the other DJs a shot and see if any of them can hold my interest. No offense to shonen of course, I think he did alright (aside from the clapping).
Well, like I said before, a lot of the music isn't they type I would seek out. However, he did throw some bones to us senior citizens. Plus, it's always interesting hearing what you kids are listening to these days.
