Unfortunately none of these classes will remind you of cloud from FF7. I do use a 2h sword on my prophet and they do look like cloud from FF7. Any class can use 2h but just those classes have the damage masteries.
You can become a Sword Singer! That is a light elf and VERY "stringy" like cloud, lol. When testing out on the PTS I made my Spellsinger (which I play on live) a Destroyer Subclass. Before I wanted to be one, but I never realized how fun they are! So I am definately subbing one, lol. So you could be like a sword singer (which are rare and looked for in clans, so if you are a SwS join kain server an pm on these foums to join my clan ;) ) and then you could sub a destroyer.

YOu can go elf fighter>knight> sword singer. IT's a fughter-buffer. then when (in long time) you get to lvl 75 and do bunch of hard quests you can pick a different profesion which is destroyer. SwS is fine with twohanded swords. destroyer is builded towards using those. or you can do ork fighter>raider>destroyer, but only if you dont mind to be big, green killing mashine ;)
Ok to answer your question the only class who has 2 handed masteries from the start without going to 75 and then sublassing is an orc fighter then go orc raider and then you become a destroyer (devoted to 2 hands) raider is 2 hand and blunts.
ok when you refering to Elf Destroyer you mean
3rd class Sword Muse? cause i cant see any destroyer class for elf. Thats what i found so far...
1)elf fighter 1-20
2)elven fighter 20-40
3)swordsinger 40-76
4)Destroyer 75-76 ??? Sword muse???

When you get to level 75 on your first character, regardless of what race/class you pick, you can choose to get a new class, a "subclass", while keeping your current apearance
Lets say your first char is an elf, and you pick an orc destroyer as a subclass, you will have all the stats of a real destroyer, but you will look like an elf
Getting to 75 is no light task however
If you click on the library link to your left, and go down to Races, Classes & Skills, you can have a look at all the skills classes gets
edit: forgot to specifically answer your question, a "elf destroyer" would be a character that originally went with the elf race and then upon reaching 75 picked orc destroyer as a subclass
It is like having 2 classes in one character. Like having an alt character but you can have the same name and appearence. Sorry for the confusion...
To become an Elf destroyer you would have to become some elf class. It doesn't really matter, you could be a Spell Singer, Silver Ranger, or whatever. Then when that class gets to lvl 75 and you do a subclass quest you can pick a profession from a different race! For example an Orc Destroyer. But the thing is, you are not an Orc, so you you become an Elf Destroyer. Same eveything except you are an elf and not a big orc. But like others have said this will take EXTREAMELY long amounts of time! Soo, how do you solve this problem...I will tell you! :
1.) Pick a Sword Singer! This is an Elf fighter. Swordsingers can use 2 handed swords. You will hit people with your sword, but most importaint off all you will use 'buff magic' to make your party stronger! Then when you get your Sword Singer to lvl 75 you can subclass a Destroyer from the orc race. And look like I did in the picture above.
2.) You just pick the orc race and go the path to destroyer! But you won't look like cloud from FFVII. You will look more like Barret mixed with the meteroite that is going to destroy the world.

Well if he really wants a 2 handed sword and still wants to do massave damage IMO go with Destroyer
If you really want to go for the look, yes Prophets with a 2 handed ressemble that guy in FF7. Its too bad I never took Screen Shots of when my prophet had a 2 handed. I switched to duals but they basically do the same amount of damage, so either is just fine.
Mystics have a general weapon mastery for all types of weapons. If you pick a fighter you really want them to have a weapon they have masteries for, but for mystics, any weapon will do (note: bow and pole nerf in C5).
Two handed swords are actually the best weapon you can give a prophet ( duals ~= 2 handed). But its not a "fighter" class though it can if you want it to be one. You can set Prophets up to be one mean pve killing machine (with their amazing buffs that is).
Other viable option: SWS
They have a general Sword/blunt masteries. They are always in demand at high levels since there is a lack of them on this server. My friend used a two handed with his SwS and it worked out quite well for pve.
Sub classing : You actually have to get to level 75+ to be able to subclass.... thats means before your cousin can sub class and get that 2 handed and actually have masteries for them , you have to first level him from 1 to 75.... >< awfull waste of time. If you do have a social life, its going to take you and your cousin a few months to get to level 75. But.... its the only way to get a human to really kick [censored] with a two handed sword.
IMO: You should convince him to either go Orc Destroyer or the Battle Prophet way.
