I came back after 8 months and I'm surprised that AA is so expensive. As far as I remember its mostly used for dyes and weapons upgrades till top C. Most players should already have dyes and are way over C weapons.
Why is AA more expensive as it was? I remember paying 1.3-1.5, now its hard to get for 2. Farmers fault?
4-5?!?!?! lol iv only ever seen 2 on kain but then again other then buying gsaps or magic haste pots or great health pots from priest of dawn i dont use AA so...i havnt exactly been following it :p
if you find it to high why dont you not your self gride for AA
it's not that dificult
same as everything else but if you see the way he ask you it lead you to the conclusion that mayority of servers has become so Bot dependant that they have stop looking for mats and parts including books and recipes. even quest items.
i have seen group of people making money selling their own AA because is more profitable.
hehe also this sort of ugly word PVP gets anoying when you say you dont like the PVP and like PVE they look at you dirty like you are sick or something i dont mind make a lot of adena's with the greenys :) :) :)

Know one knows why, exactly. We all suspect the usual reasons: greed; a lazy player base coupled with the impact of external adena suppliers; the cartel-like control presented by bot farmers (and their ties to these outside adena merchants) who appear to be the only individuals in the game that benefit from L2's ridiculously low drop rates; the increase in the number of solo and dual box players, who hunt more in the fields than in the catas and necros; overenchants; the rise in re-rolls, which is driving the business for D, C weapon upgrade through Mammon as well as B grade dual weapons (through upgrading the individual swords to create B grade duals of their choice); etc., etc.
The bottomline is the economy is screwed on most servers because there aren't any controls or protections as you would see in the real world economy. Imagine you lived in a world where monopolies, price collusion, counterfeiting, scamming, price gauging and every other market inefficiency went unchecked. Well, look no further than L2.
My advice? If you need AA, or anything else in game, find you a nice room or two in a cata or necro and don't come out until you've made all the seal stones that you need. Also set up a buy shop for the seal stones when you are AFK at reasonable prices. If you're lucky, you might find what you need at a decent price.
Thats, thats what I wanted to know, it seems there is more use for AA as it used to be.
But as far as collecting by myself goes its not always as easy as it sounds. Catas/necroes aren't very solo friendly, are they? And even further the recipes and mats you get from TOI aren't ment for soloing either. Or L11+ soul crystals.

You're right, the basic structure of L2 hasn't changed, which is to say that you have to group in order to get many of the items that you want cheaply. Otherwise the market is your only other resort, and we all know what that's like to deal with.
yep, c4 added a lot more uses for aa, bsoe, brez, s gems, s grade unseal and some other stuff. They need to stop adding stuff to it.
that pretty much sums it up
any item from A grade and up requires AA to unseal/sa.
couple that with ppl constantly needing brez and bsoe and the lack of events that drop those items in high quantities and theres your reason

Youre allowed to complain when your server goes beyond 4:1 or 5:1 ratio like Lionna has been at for weeks :P
The main reason that it has risen in price is pretty simple, people still buy it.
All it really takes is for the dominant cabal to lose the Seven Signs for a week and people will not have AA. There'll be a general shortage so prices will go up. People still buy it so the price stays higher, even if that dominant cabal wins again.
Happened on Sieg a few months ago. AA was 2a until a major alliance shifted to Dusk and won. AA immediately went to 3a and it has been there ever since, even though Dusk held the seals for only one week.
If people continue to pay the 3a then sellers will continue to sell it for that much. But yes, demand has risen due to the greater number of uses but I don't see how supply has diminshed at all, it just costs more now.

yup and everything associated with it
ppl on gustin still buy bsoe for 700k brez for 1.5 mil and gsaps for 25k
as long as ppl pay that, AA can be sold for 3a and they still make a profit

Actually, seal stones drop in all catas. Make a quick alt and go into NOS. You'll get seal stones solo with no problem.
You can solo in the lower cata's pretty effectively with a number of toons.
I think even my DA still has 40k seal stones from when he was in late 30's.
I have never duo'd in catas (though I've partied with clan multiple times).
If clan isn't available I always solo in the lower ones--and getting an alt to d-grade is pretty quick.
I have a different impression than you do--I have always felt the 7-signs related to high exp and seal stones was one of the more simple aspects of the game because even low levels can do it.
I can duo about 1-1.5 mil aa in a day with my 63 bd but that is never enough. There is so much you can do with aa that it is rarely worth it to sell off and since almost all d and c grade top weapons are from upgrades it really fluxes the price of those too thus everything goes up in price once aa becomes more expensive. Now if only I could setup a sell shop and have people buy my wares with aa mmmm
I don't mind PvP, but I do PKed. If it's dangerous to hunt for drops and my clannies keep getting hit while leveling. We raise our selling prices! Back to supply and damand!
The prices in Lionna has gonne crazy (specialy the last 3 moths).
AA= 5a (has been like that for 4-5+ weeks)
Top D wep = 5-6m usesd to be around 2.5-3m
A grade helmet = 200m++
...
...
All thanks to the botters that gather adena for the ppl that sell them on difrent sites and on ebay that again leads to 95% or more of the players buying them that ends in the prices going up like crazy because everyone can afford it.
If NCSOFT had done they're job banning the botter's instead of earning money from them (for the game serial and the monthly fees) there wouldn't be any ebayers and the prices would had gonne down...all items would had been much harder to find, but no one would had been able to buy an helmet costing 200m+ or maybe eaven 100m+...I don't mind going out looking after mat's to craft my wep or armor.
How many of you have tryed to get some exp in the cata's or necro's only to find that bot party's has taken over every single room that you are able to solo or duo in? Or had an lvl 20-25 char trying to do the "magnifisant feast" quest in Dion where you need to hunt the monster eye's that is outside the down only to not be able to kill an single eye because there are 10-20 bot's hunting them?....it was an time in Lionna when this was the reality...
Detecting and confirming an botter (specialy those in an party or in towns de-lvling) don't take more than 10-120s depending of how good the botter has been setting up he's/her's botting software. There are botters in EV that I have petitioned for month's, but they are still there (good job GM's).
I know I went far off the topic here, but I just needed to bring it out...maybe it is time to switch to an private server that got better anti-bot systems than the official...
