Hey can anyone tell me what the best way for a new player to make adena is? There has to be a way other than cheating, cuz i won't cheat! Ples help lol getting decent equipment is like 1mil at d grade and i'm trying to get to 20k right now lol please help!
Manor system aside (because people often seem to have issues with the timing for turning in their seeds), I would suggest the following:
a)Make a dwarf - either a crafter for making shots, or a scavvy for spoiling mats. Both of those are relatively straightforward ways of making cash.
b)Do some quests. Most people seem to blow these off, but the starter villages have quests you can do at around lvl 20 that will net you ~100k each. When you're higher level, try some of the other quests such as the coin quest, and the one for wish pots (this quest is lvl 30 or 32; takes me about 40min to complete, and at a resale value of 600k/pot, is well worth it for me at least!). Check one of the fan sites such as Stratics for more info on what the quest rewards are, so that you don't end up doing one of the really long ones that won't really get you anything.
c)Since you don't currently have cash, you'll have to wait a bit on this one, but when you get the chance try playing the market a bit. There are some things you can buy for cheap that people will pay pretty good cash for, such as lucky charms (seems silly, but there is money to be made there - and if you don't have much money every little bit helps). Alternately, you can buy things in towns with low (or no) tax and resell in towns that have higher %.
I'd post more specific info, but I'm at work so all the other sites are blocked for me atm. Hope the lil bit I've posted here helps, and don't give up! It is totally possible be completely legit AND to gear up in A-grade (it takes longer, but it feels a hell of a lot more rewarding when you get it!).
Quests sux, forget about it. Try manor and collecting sealstones in catacombs
Quests have gotten me two chars in full a-grade, but yeah, you're probably right. :p All it means is I don't have to fight for the quest mobs :)
As it is, to the OP, sealstones are indeed another great way of making money. Especially if you happen to be on a server such as Bartz where it's currently 1aa:4a.
Although I am not a fan of quests myself, I have to disagree somewhat with faceit. Some quests are actually pretty cool, especially the ones that take you to the area you already hunting to anyway.
There been many times where I took the quest, while hunting for that particular monster anyway, and the quest would require me to collect whatever from THAT monster. So, in addition to the stuff I got from the mobs just hunting them and the XP, I can go back and collect little extra on the top - be it adena, or items, or whatever.
So, I wouldn't dismiss the quests so far, there are a TONN of quests in the game that require nothing more then to see some dude after beating the mobs you were going to beat anyway.

a few good ways have already been suggested;
but i think a better way to make some fast cash and faster exp is raiding.
a lot of people will tell you there are only 4 classes that are allowed to raid but such is not the case. you DONT have to be a nuker to deal damage in a raid, you DONT have to be a Knight class in order to tank, and you DONT have to be an SO/SE?PP to raid.
all that aside you get full drops faster and more often doing raids than grinding. at low levels you can bring out 1 whole level of EXP doing a single raid.

One quest that I earn LOADS of adena on is the "Enchant your weapin" quest.
I can make like 3-4 lvl 7 crystale in 1,5 hour.
With the current marked price on Teon, thats almost 2,5-3kk in 1,5 hour :)
It's better then everything else I'v done.
I'm leveling SA crystals in Giant Caves in one of the first rooms.
These mobs are 2xHP, they spawn quick and only one is aggro(other then the Beast Lord group) but all are social.
So leveling crystals there is really quick, you dont have to run around looking for mobs :)
But how can a lvl 24 Dark Wizard earn adenas? I suppose cannot level SA crystals in Giant Caves nor do the "Enchant your weapon quest".
Currently I have about 200k and still fight with a no-grade mages stuff since I cannot even buy a D-grade stuff.
What can I do?
There are two once only quests from Dark Elf town that pay quite nicely. You might have done them.
One is from the main warehouse man. Its a level15 all race quest and pays 20k. Not a lot but you can get it for little expense. All you do is use the gatekeeper from DE town to the neutral zone then run towards gludio until you can use a 500a scroll of escape to gludio. You might then need to run/scroll to Gludin, I cant remember. Either way, don't use the gatekeeper apart from DE to the Neutral zone.
The next pays 100k+ and is for Dark Elves only and takes you to the School of dark arts.
Seek Vellior and start the Dangerous Seduction quest 21~26 range. There are one or two others to collect bones etc but this one pays nicely. You have to go some way into the School.

also in DE village there is a quest for an EAD from an tetrarch.
