Hello.
I observed the weapon crystal staff mana up says this: "Increases base MP by 30%. This bonus does not apply to MP gained through passive skills."
The weapon soulfire dirk mana up (and all the others mana up weapons) says this: "Increases Max MP by 30%."
Does the crystal staff mana up really give you less MP than the other mana up weapons because it only applies to base MP?
I personally havnt used "mana up" weapons other than the Crystal Staff. For the crystal satff I can confirm that it only gives you 30% extra off you base mana dependent on your Men(before all boost due to sets/buffs).
As for other weapon I have not tried them. It it hard to beleive that they would give extra mana bacause most stats work in the following way:
(Base Stat) * (% boosts) + Set bonus
ie:
(Base Mana) * (1.30 from Crystal staff) + Mana from set
and NOT
[ Base mana + set mana + BTS] * (1.30 mana up)
Cause all teh stats ive seen dont work like that. The % addition is always on the base value.
This leads me to beleive that they should all have the same explanation but yet again, they did a crappy job at keeping the translations consistent..... Its not the first time it would happen. I can give you a handfull of example where text is wrong/inconsistent on the Lineage 2 Web Site.... they even have SA'a names wrong and as you mentioned the explanation too apparently.
