I've been trying some classes at low levels and I get items from drops (That really sounds stupid) Are there any items I should be looking out for that can get me a good profit at levels 1-20, thanks if you tell me about some!
I am not aware of any key-mats that drop at those levels worth saving. Key-mats are things that are used in only one item craft ('material used to make [alligator boots]') Probably best to sell them in the NPC shops. Later, level 37 or so, you will get mats for set-completing items, and these should be saved as they are very valuable. Elven Mithril Glove designs, Manticore boot linings, Brigandine Helmet designs and Brig Shield fragments are things like this.
Base mats, things that can be used to make many types of items ('material used to craft dwarven items') should be saved, as the prices for these mats has gone way up recently. Sel them in Giran, or save them for your own crafting.
like he was saying...keep every base mat you get, stems, iron ore, coal, charcoal, animal skils, steel, and so on...you can set up a shop and make some really good cash, or just sell to a players buy shop and make good cash, and if you don't sell them...that's good too, cause when you start to craft stuff, Cgrade and up....you'll need alot of mats...and i mean a scary amount of mats...
I agree with what both of the previous posters say. However, it is worth noting that you NEVER want to sell off your base mats in the NPC shop. Always save them. Prices on the base materials fluctuate as demand does and prices seem to go up in cycles. Right now I have been seeing people in Giran buying animal bones for 1100a+. Might be a good item to farm if you have a dwarf.....
recipies for braided hemp, leather, steel, cokes, crude bone powder tend to sell good to dwarves (hemp especially since on some servers it seems to be a low drop item)
Most scavangers will want those recipies (well all dwarves really) since it allows some processing of materials into more worthwhile materials
some places have good item drops to sell (but require a group, the ruins on talking island is a good example)
But mainly you'll need to run a lot of repeatable quests till you can't get them anymore.
