I have two accounts, mine and my girlfriends. However, we have been playing and we only have junkie equipment...nothing drops and we cant seem to continue on as our gear is so worthless.
It is my understanding you really need to buy adena online to compete but I am wondering if there is another way....perhaps we could make two dwarves and go the crafting route to make items for the classes we really want to play, is this feasible and if so how should we progress (ie. dwarf classes, what to make to lvl our skills (if applicable in this game), etc.)
You could go with a fast killer (someone else suggest which, or you take your pick) and manor, if your server has a good manor, and the other go buffer/healer. You'll be able to keep going non-stop. If one makes a dwarf, the other should go SE for the recharge and buffs, since both dwarves' money making depend on mana.
You could go SH and SE. That's a good fast killing, money making duo. You'll profit from drops - at least later on. I didn't duo on my SE much untill maybe my mid 40s, so I'm not sure what it's like before.
you should be looking for classes (imo) that grind up lower mobs easily (without soulshot).
The first goal for first toons is NOT to level too fast. Kill mobs that con green to you just as fast as you can--preferrably those that also pay out as a quest.
Dwarves will not magically help you create adena. Efficient game playing (which I did not begin to learn till a month or so ago) will help you earn adena.
The dark elf fighter is relatively easy to level imo. The dark elf mystic has been a breeze too. Both have 1st class change quests that are really fast as well.
I thought the elf fighter was simple but admit that I had falchion and full bronze for him from my earlier toons which is a recipe to slaughter mobs without break.
All I can tell you is: a) don't pay to port much, b) try to quickly quickly quickly kill easy mobs green to you, c) try to stay away from soulshot addiction, d) don't waste money on no grade armor.
My very first toon was lvl 26 and still in NG. Got 1st d-grade sword (bastard sword) from my one and only full weapon drop on dwarf alt.
Quest all you can, be stingy, kill lots, ask for assistance when you can.
Your goal shouldn't be to get 10 million adena--it should be to get 600k or so. Then play the market once you begin paying attention to prices and can recognize a deal.
Buy adena if you want but I don't think you'll appreciate getting stuff 'easily'....and adena influx imo is the primary cause of inflation (though others disagree).
Generally friend, it aint the dwarf that makes adena as one poster's sig notes!
GL.

Not at all.
You can make a dwarf, use the manor system, learn the market, watch out for deals and then resell at market price.
The manor system?? I have no clue on that but guess I need to read about it.
Some people have a lot of luck with it. You will have to look around for the particulars on this site. Either do a search or look in the library, etc.
I for one started out with a dwarf making shots. I then started buying selling crystals for a decent amount of money as well as looking for weapons enchants that people were trying to get rid of. Then selling them for market rate. I also did this with soul crytals. Which of course, when you are at the appropriate lvls can start making yourselves.
All in all there is a lot to this game when it comes to the economy. It's just hard. I repeat, it's hard. I once bought 12 cheap weapon enchants only to have a pumpkin event which then spammed the market and drove the price down. Had to sit on those for over a month.
edt: not only that... when I was pre 20 my clan leader and I did the fungus and spider sack quest over in Dark elf village for practically an entire saturday.

here (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/features/manorsystem/) is your's guide for the manor system.
Also, you are a first character, so you can use the upgrade system. Then you just need to pay the difference between your's current armor/wearpon and next one. Only you can't upgrade the equipment given to you at start of the game.
Also, you are prety small level now, right? Around may be 5-10 or so, you just started like yesterday. Later adena drops allso pick up. And if you also quest, by the way, that site link to which i gave you also has list of quests and rewards for them, you will be able to have second best ng wearpon by may be lvl 15. Also use the newbie shots while you still can, and get your's buffs from newbie helper as well, those make a huge difference.
specifically you didn't mention what level you are that you have "junkie equipment" unless I missed it.
It doesn't take much equipment (weapon) to grind low toons.
A gladius is like 65k at shops..it will serve well through lower levels and I'd be surprised if you couldn't afford it at lvl 12 or so (which allows you to sell quest weapon from starter area).
Or, use quest weapon till as close to lvl 20 as you can still kill greens and don't buy the mid-no grade weapon at all.
You SHOULD have gotten a couple/few animal bones--i think those sell for 2,500 or so on most servers. Varnish certainly dropped as you were hunting. I generally advise keeping mats but the really lucrative ones you won't use anyway are worth selling.
As Sov mentioned, economy is HARD. I have only been playing 7 months--it's possible to figure it out.
Under 20 you should definately quest locally until you could just throw up! I must have killed 20 million spiders on Talking Island once upon a time! (lol)
I have two account on two computer. Make a dwarf smith, you level him as high as possible. The smith just sit in town making making soulshot for sale and for you to use. You should have enough money for equipment and burn soul shot. Play on second account whatever class you enjoy at same time.
