i didnt try out spellsinger in pts but i did try out sleep. its going too be really hard for sps to pvp now imo. so any advice on how too pvp in c5 with sps or should i just reroll?...
Use one of the slowing spells, or HP draining spells along with surrender and cancel. You'll be fine really
HP draining spells? Do we have that?

pvp depends on the class youre fighting.. Slow is a melee killer, cancel is good, but the casting time is kinda long, and surrender to water is a must.. Other than that, hydro blast hydro blast hydro blast..
Well considering the nerf to sleep, which isn't that big of a deal for PvP anyway (meaningful pvp, not arena pvp) you probally won't have much problems. The only time I used sleep in PvP was to try to take down a necro by sleeping him and his summon and then killing off his summon.

Anyway since C5 will practically force all nukers to max their speed out with WIT tatts and DC set, being a SpS probally won't be a problem. Doing some tests on the PTS if you get acumen robes, acumen weapon, +4 WIT and have a greater magic haste pot popped you cast regular sleep in about 4 seconds, and Sleep cloud in about 5-6 seconds. So really in pvp with zerk and BD concentration and mystic dance you will probally cast sleep in pvp just about as fast as you did before. Truthfully, this was a pve nerf, and not much to do with pvp.

Anyway with that cast speed this is what you should do in pvp, or at leas try to.

At a seige stay with your side. Run out nuke someone once or twice and run back into the mass of people. Try to draw other nukers close to your melee and whatnot. When running on the field make sure you have your buffs up and that you have a few flankers (melee work pretty well for that too). Keep them busy without getting hit much. Being a SpS you can use ice bolt to slow down a fast class. Like I said with every mage now pumping up cast speed even more so in C5 so they can pve you are practically a death wish. In small pvp, don't even attemp sleep, that will be ur death wish...esspecially if the other has to flag.

In pvp watch for SH, Archers (esspecially if they have drac bow cause they will ONE shot you no matter what). Melee isn't that big of a deal. Don't go for tanks, because you will waste all your mana. Make sure one doesn't pull hate on you from a crowd and you don't notice. Also if a tank manages to root you and shield stun you into obliteration...that is also bad. Daggers can now one shot you too. And beware of the mana burn...lol.. So really go after warrior classes and if you see a archer comming at you hydro blast him for 6 seconds and hope he drops. Slowing him and staying out of range works well too. Only use cancel on classes that are highly dependant on buffs such as a HE, Dagger, other nukers... Things like tanks, and most warrior classes can get along in pvp without the most common buffs given (well about as well as they do with them anyway). Just keep your distance, and have friends help you. Have a tank shacke a few players and they are going down... Aim for the warriors, other mages, and archers. Let melee take out other melee...lol...don't waste your mana on things that your melee buddies could be winning.

Edit: And no, we don't have HP drain spells. But like I said, with full pvp buffs and dances, DC, WIT tatt, acumen weapon... you nor your enemy will really notice sleep cast time much different anyway.
Yeah I can't remember which one, maybe freezing shackle, at least on mobs it owns their HP something fierce. It's awesome.
Yeah, but it does the same amount of damage total as an hydro blast, but over time.. It's funny how we have a bunch of spells, and most of them are just useless.. I mean, Frost Wall for example, why??? At least Ice Dagger looks cool..
Yeah still that combined with a regular hydro blast on high hp mobs is nice . I liked it on those nasty mdef trees in EV.

Frost Wall? Isn't that by any chance the best aoe attack skill in the game? Useless? If you want to get rid of it, SHs could really use a second aoe attack...
I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Aqua Splash?
