ManhattenProject?

ok whats the deal with MP joining SoA and leaveing Redemption? How long has this been going on and when will the madness ever stop?
The whole server is going crazy, dude.. Just look around and you'll see lifetime enemies allied, and old allies fighting each other..
It all started when everyone found out the new rules for the C5 alliances. :D 3 alliances, 120 members, must make important decisions on who goes & who stays.
ya no kidding jesus

WOW your commin in a little late on that one. MP left nearly a month ago.

Ohh and it had nothing to do with c5 =D
It's not completely to do with C5, I have a friend thats in Manhattenproject and has always been with them even thou he left twice & came back again.
There was a disagreement made & thats oen of the big reasons why they left, C5 was also another reason (I was told that) weather my friend was lying to me or not, I still believed him :)
Thats ok if you came in late you were probably on vacation, or you don't give a huge rats *** about the [censored] politics on the server & is just curious. :D
Yup I know all about it.

I was in MP up until saturday after the seige. Idk I might go back.

Actualy i am late do to the fact MY 63 BD GOT HACKED AND STOLEN FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!! (thought i made that part clear) Anyways i was in MasadaII (should have been in MP considering for my part in Redemption was mostly spent with MP lmgdao) and i was Arvalo's bad *** Blade Dancer! i saw him in the areana today and he said he didnt like that Redemption going and helping IC cause that was way to much and dosent like that NF joined IC too just too deep of issues there for MP. So SoA was the best choice for them cause SoA doing there own thing apart from Catalyst and IC. so i guess well see how this server will turn out in the up comeing Chronical. alot will change as we have already seen lol.
Very true, a lot will change come C5
Yup that pretty much sums it up. I just didnt go into detail because it was a very drawn out and drama riddin seperation.

you forgot to mention in your post that your account got hacked. Sorry to hear that.
Did you have a falling out?
basically redemption would never side with catalyst. SOA and MP are like water, only take the path of least resistance. i still find it funny how they deny being allied. "they just pvp, siege, raid and sometimes exp together"

Did you have a falling out?

no longer a fan of soa tbh
SoA is neutral with catalyst. Just means they dropped clan wars. They don't XP together or do raids together or anything like that.

Ya they do.... We have seen screen shot after screen shot.

No I was asking if someone had a fall out with that clan.
I have nothing against any of the clans really, they've never bothered me & any clan stuff that goes on is completely there own business :D besides I like my clan we are smaller & it makes it easier to organize hunts & stuff, I really missed that, plus our clan leader & I are both females, so we get along great!

Contain your silly propaganda to blah, Chowder. The "path of least resistance" would have been to go along with Zebedee's zerg (and zerg it is, at least compared to Catalyst numbers). It took guts for SoA to give you guys the finger; they definitely chose the more difficult path.

Catalyst and SoA members have worked together on occasion, there is no denying it. You don't typically find us zerged up together for PvP, but it pleases me that it bothers your side so. If you guys can't outzerg in every single situation, the whole purpose of your mega-alliance becomes kind of moot. The premise was, after all, that if you can't out-skill Catalyst, you need to throw sheer numbers at them so that they can't target fast enough or so that their computers freeze. Be grateful that Catalyst and SoA don't work together any more often than they do now, because that would send your entire project back to the drawing board and perhaps force you to reconsider tighter alliances with actual organization and standards.
in wolveneye or shadow knights?

Sorry, I should of clarified that hehe
My main is in Wolveneye & my alt is in Shadowknights, but I'm never on that char.. So Wolveneye is the answer ding ding ding Orvieta wins a price!!! *YAY*

Um since when did IC have more than Catalyst?

I love stupid people.
since conty said so i guess, i dunno. making stuff up is fun.

Mix it up a little, you're becoming predictable.

The thing is, Chowder, that my propaganda is less silly and more correct than yours, so I win.

you dont win cause you say you win. lmao! only way you can win is if 6 or more other people say you win. Hey if any alliance had as many 78's and as much Sg as you guys did then they could do something against you guys untill lets just sit back and watch the show ;p

You don't have a very good grasp of tongue-in-cheek humor, do you?
Contagion will always lose against me cuz im realy good at.... doing stuff and yea so watch it!!!

Cya ingame.
whenever conty doesnt really have anything to add to a conversation because hes wrong, he just critiques your posting style. this is what i find.

"Hi! I'm wrong, but I think I'll say you should mix it up a bit, even though you pointed out that I was being a hypocrite. I find ignorance is better than actually admitting I am in the wrong." - conty
Well i did find it funny that he knows everything but i realy dont care about that stuff.

Life is great so lets get naked in the pool.

Sigh...actually, upon brief consideration, I decided that it wouldn't accomplish anything for me to go into great detail about why I believe my take on the situation to be much less deserving of the term "propaganda" than yours, because you would simply reply with something else you thought to be witty rather than supporting your initial statement, so I gave up on thoughtful debate with you and went straight for the flippant remark.

One of the reasons why I post rarely on blah is because I have grown tired of trying to have a decent debate with people who blatantly ignore facts. For example, I could remind you of how many players we have compared to all of the players on your side, but you'll either ignore the point or outright refute it without providing any support to your argument.

In short, Chowder, debating with you is usually a waste of time, because you don't care as much for the meat of the matter as you do for the snappy one-liners.

Now, sweetie, was this response more to your liking? <3
yes my love <3 but it doesnt change the fact youre still wrong :>. id rather say one line thats correct, than write a 500 word essay like yours and have it be full of nonsense :)
Ah, but unfortunately for you, most other people require that some attempt be made on your part to justify your arguments before they accept them as correct :)
well me being in redemption, i know my side of the story. you not being in either soa or redemption, you dont really know either side of the story to even argue with me <3. but thanks anyways conty. as i said before, they took the path of least resistance. this is fact.
I still say that it's opinion, not fact, and you aren't able to argue this beyond claiming that you just happen to know better. My argument is based on my assessment of server politics, not supposedly intimate knowledge of either SoA or Redemption's motivations.

In short, I have concluded that we are arguing ourselves dizzy as usual, and while I've enjoyed the banter, there's not much new to be said :p
yep
<3
im still right.

basically redemption would never side with catalyst. SOA and MP are like water, only take the path of least resistance. i still find it funny how they deny being allied. "they just pvp, siege, raid and sometimes exp together"

Hmmm thats odd u posted a result without giving the facts prior to them actually occuring... Its more like MP was told to ally w/ IC/NF by redemption leadership they acted in a way that resulted in them leaving redemption and now moving to SoA. As a side affect of moving to SoA MP dropped wars w/ cataylst as they are to remain NEUTRAL to them... That is too the point we just dont kill eachother...

"they just pvp, siege, raid and sometimes exp together"

No more than they did before... Redemption has met pletty of MP members and they dont kill eachother even though the wars have been declared..
(i do believe that SoA w/ the help of MP took Dion from Redemption though)
if MP was really part of redemption, allying with NF and IC wouldnt have mattered. good ridance IMO. lets not bring up that neutral stuff though lol. thats silly.
****, MP was not simply told to ally IC/NFI. There were polls/discussions on our forums about which action we should take. Even your leader agreed that the path we should take was to try and get SoA to work with IC/NFI. That was all we had been doing, and one day Arvalo decides that suddenly it was the wrong action and drops alliance without giving us any warning... and from what I hear.. most of MP didn't even know this was going to happen.. they simply logged in and found themselves in SoA rather than Redemption(many of which are now tagless might I add).

I wonder, did Arvalo tell you guys the reason why we started leaning towards working with IC/NFI over SoA? It's because we'd heard plans of SoA backstabbing us in c5... though as you can see... they apparently couldn't even wait till c5 to do that... and I guess neither could Arvalo.

As for taking Dion.. lol... do you really think we expected to keep it with our maybe 2 groups of people? We took it the previous siege weekend knowing full well that we couldn't hold it if we were attacked. We only took it in the first place because we wanted to see what SoA/Catalyst would do if ICA/Redemption split attacks at one of each of the respective alliance's castles. It was afterall, their first siege weekend of being unofficially allied together. And I must say it wasn't a very spectacular first showing... considering they each lost a castle and rather than trying to retake one... they attempted to take Oren and failed.

The fact that you guys only managed to take the castle from us with under 1min left in the siege and 2-3x our numbers makes me laugh though.
Lets ask Contagion cuz he knows everything.

Lets ask Contagion cuz he knows everything.

Ask me what? I hear there is/was quite the airing of dirty laundry on Redemption public forums that pretty much sums up the "Did not!/Did, too!; Am not!/Are, too!" nature of the the MP split from Redemption. Trying to ascertain the exact truth from that mess is nigh-impossible since everyone claims to know the real story.

If you were asking me about Careryn's version of events, I'll just say that he highly overestimates the cooperative nature of SoA's relationship with Catalyst. Catalyst siege day goes pretty much like this: "Hm. We're bored. Someone find out where the action is, let's go check it out." We might show up, attack an enemy lawn, maybe beat on the doors for a few minutes, and then leave it alone for a while. If SoA moves in and keeps a castle, fine; it's out of enemy hands. If they don't hold onto it, fine; maybe we'll go kill people there next siege period.

Finally, I'm not sure why he's attempting to gloat over Catalyst losing a castle we didn't care to defend. SoA lost Goddard, but they found new real estate, so good for them. It's funny how many people seem to think that every single siege is serious business with tons of planning behind it when sometimes it's just for the sake of having something to do.

Cont, you have no clue about what happened between Redemption and MP. There's obviously gonna be some bad blood when you have a clan leader who posts saying something along the lines of, "I think it's best we try and get ICA/SoA to work together," and then a week later makes a post saying they left the alliance, "thanks for the boss jewels/sa crystals but I just can't ally ICA so I'm gonna go join the alliance that's been making plans to backstab us!" He didn't even make it known that he didn't want to ally ICA before he left the alliance. For all we knew, he was in agreement with what we were trying to do and without warning he just left alliance.

Also, there were Catalyst at Oren while SoA was attacking it and even then they only left Oren because ICA attacked Giran.

I wasn't gloating over taking Dion... hell there wasn't anyone at the castle when we took it... in fact I pretty much said we didn't want the castle at all because we knew there was no way we could hold it with only ~2 groups of people. Like I said, we only took the castle because we wanted to see what Cata/SoA would do. How was that gloating?
I WIN IN L2 :) :) :) :) :)

Contagion want to have my babies?
All I read from what you posted is more support for my opinion that the Redemption/MP thing was a confused mess. You think you have the right of it, they think they were right, and my bet is that there is some truth to both sides along with a lot of bad communication.

I personally don't care much what MP does, has done, or why they did it; if you read carefully, you'll notice that I don't really defend or attack MP except to say in support of their move to SoA that it was a gutsy one for a relatively modest clan.

This next paragraph was going to be more interesting, but I decided to cut it so that I didn't have to put up with and refute the stale and poorly supported arguments that have been used to defend IC's attempt to recreate the CBA using most of the major alliances and clans on the server. In fact, I'll just save us all some time:

Contagion: You carebear zerg.
Carebear Zergling: Catalyst strong and ubiquitous like ninja.
Contagion: Carebear zerg lazy, think zerg only way to win.
Carebear Zergling: You have many drac bow and infinity rod.
Contagion: You have same or more 78 buffer and combined bling.
Carebear Zergling: ...no, you!
Contagion: ...

Contagion: /le sigh, /ninja vanish

The only confusion about the Rememption/MP thing is why Arvalo was so quick to leave alliance... when he was in agreement that we should try and get ICA/SoA to work together. How are we supposed to know that he really only wanted to work with SoA when he was posting that he was for trying to get them to work together?

Considering that this thread is about MP... perhaps you're debating in the wrong thread. And yes... cause our combined total of 60-70 people is so much more than Catalyst/SoA's.... though like I said... this is the wrong thread to be discussing this.
No its not keep fighting and the winner will have my babies!!!
Contagion your like a nosey neighbor who constantly looks through the family next door's window and judging by their movements(since you don't hear voice) you create stories and propaganda about whats going on. To know whats going on in the house you must be apart of the household and in this case you are not. So no matter how much you try to make yourself look intelligent in regards to things you do not know, it will always end up rhetoric.

Whats funny is, you accuse the new ICA in trying to make a super zerg. But look at the ICA you are trying to compare them to(c1-c2) and then think how many of those clans are apart of Catalyst, your own alliance. So you have no room to talk about IC, because most of them are now part of your own fold.
Nosing into other alliances' business is par for the course in this kind of political game, or hadn't you heard? The same people who claim I have it all wrong and that they know best see no hypocrisy in sharing their supposed knowledge of Catalyst motivations and strategies, so your analogy is wasted here. Speculation and supposition are the names of the game :p

Your attempt to compare Catalyst to old ICA is also a bit off. Anyone can see that Catalyst is composed partly of a clan that used to be allied to IC, and also that it contains a handful of former IC members. What you seem to have missed or are overlooking deliberately is that server politics these days look nothing like they used to. IC itself has made a complete 180, now pandering to clans like NFI and Blaze.

The point to the above is that you are just trying to confuse the issue with irrelevant information; you've said nothing to refute my claims.

I hadn't intended to derail the thread. In my own mind, it followed logically from my own comments about MP, but I'll try to disregard the who-zergs-whom debate from this point on in this thread.
You are all zergs to me cuz i play alone now... **** your zergs i will kill you all and then run away.

I have a friend that is/was, not sure anymore in MP, I'll ask him and see what he says.
My babies is sleeping now...

Well to be hones who realy cares about what MP did or did not do and so on. Its not in my intrest realy. There is some good peps in MP still and some are gone, MM is one of the nicest man i have meet in a game.

Have a nice day.

Actually SouleShaman is the friend of mine that I know, but I don't think he controls his original account anymore or not :(
Soulesshaman was in Iraq I believe and I think his sister or a friend or something was using his char while he was gone... but I think he's home now and no.. he is no longer in Mp and neither is Madmidget :o.

Ya I remember he was in MP when they were in Redemption, then he left once before, then he came back when MP was with SOA & apparently he left again, but this time I believe he left, because he was lending someone else his account? I think he told me before he left that it was a friend using his account. :p
"Zebedee's zerg" is no more than a figment of Lian's paranoid imagination. Contagion you disappoint me, running off to quiet corners of the net like this and spreading propaganda.
You sir are a L2 player and there for lose at the game of chess!!!

Contagion is what i belive telling his side of the story, even if he dont like when others do so cuz you can be wrong and he knows everything and so on but he is a good dude... Well on this forum he is.

Have a nice day.
Zeb, I'm pleased that you deigned post in this "corner of the net" in response to my opinions.

I do try not to call it "Zebedee's zerg" most of the time, but it's one of the blanket terms that fits best considering that it probably wouldn't have come together if you hadn't pandered so hard to make it happen. I give you credit for being a good opportunist if nothing else; your timing couldn't have been better with FuBu falling apart and IC on life support, leaving both NFI and IC willing to do almost anything. The bulk of Redemption goes wherever NFI does, Blaze and Unity go wherever most of their allies are, and ZeroHour apparently follows suit, so it was a pretty neat domino trick.

Anyway, it's all in good fun. Cymberlin, you can't argue very well by throwing in a disclaimer like "These are my opinions, and I may be incorrect on one or more points, but I think I am right." You just go straight for your point. I post(ed) in the same way on Blah, but I grew bored of that forum and most of its posters. If you're not familiar with it, think of it like this thread, but 5x the size with at least a dozen people arguing and flaming each other without saying anything useful or interesting.

Edit: Cymberlin, you seem to misunderstand something else: it's fun when people post contrary opinions. I argue them for the fun of it, not because I dislike disagreement. It only stops being fun when the thread becomes stale or the arguments degenerate into outright flames.
Actually I think all of L2Blahs posts are, people trying to make sense & calling eachother names, with no point. :p
Its Cymberlin not Cymbelin thx :)

Every one has there own opinions on things and i dont know if its so cool to say "you are wrong cuz my oponion is this and so on".

True you can argue about stuff it can be fun but sometimes it just gets boring when ppl does not understand what the hell you are trying to say or just skipps that part and starts the old flame war. Some have the gift to whrite in some good grammer english some dont (im one of the bad english dudes) so some times its hard to say in small words whats your side of the story is, if you do that there will be some one to bash you for that and how hard you try to explain(?) again and again what you mean is fustrating and after some time just not worth the energy.

Realy the politics of this game is not realy fun, ppl cant do what thay want cuz you will be judged(?) for every thing you do if you are in a big ally/zerg and so on. Why cant ppl just have the wars in game pvp some and stop the whining part? Its not a skill full game realy. Is it fun? Well i think it can be fun if you have some nice ppl to play with so the grind does not eat you up.

Ops think it got a bit long or somthing... Well have a nice day.

Magnus aka Cymberlin
Corrected the typos in my previous post so that your name reads properly :)
Thx :)
