its not that fact its an insignificant amount of money its the principle of the thing, if i pay for a month and i cant play for a day becouse the servers are down i want my $0.48

Then you're going to be crying buckets every time a new chronicle is launched.
Deduct the cost of purchasing an envelope. Less the cost of a stamp ($.37) You now OWE $.02.
Please remit your balance due immediately.
Thank you and have a nice day
They also tell you ahead of any regular downtimes. Obviously they cannot give ahead warning of an EMERGENCY downtime.
And now going back to my prime example, why 1 day would not matter at all:
- people are paying at least 1 month in advance.
- people either continue to renew their account over and over again, then the 1 day will not matter (does paying one day later give you any kind of benefit ?)
- people at some point will stop playing and they will most likely not cancel and play till the last hour of their account time. They will just stop playing and within a month, the account will run out.
So until the "free days" would sum up to at least 10 days or something, it really does not have any impact. You do not get a free day. You are just getting one day at the end of your already paid for interval. With most Lineage2 players staying well over one year with the game, that is such an insignificant timeframe, that it seriously is not worth the trouble.
and it wasnt really NC's fault the downtime :( Would you rather have them using all their time adjusting everyone's billing for a measly 40 something cents or working to fix the problem that someone else caused and keep things running well and fixing the pts bugs so we get a nice clean Chronicle 5?
Hey, there's even better news (http://img332.imageshack.us/img332/16/mylittleponyyf2.jpg). Just call r-o-l-l-g-i-m-p, endure a few months of merciless bullying due to following a pink ball of very annoying noise into battle, and you're set to go with your own wonderful pony... err, Poni!
