The true pain of a Pk'er...you should be proud of yourself if you go red AND live with the consequences.

I always had and will have deep respect for a red character that PK's and doesn't start to say stuff like NOOBPWNED if you get to them in pm. I don't whine when I die, and last time I had a really good chat with my Pk'er.
Those people hold the true spirit of being red.

PVP still is pretty easy to find...but you are right most people are carebears and will BSOE.
yeah i just get tired of the bsoes worst thing ncsoft put in....not to put the gimp on others but i have used 2 bsoes on my bd....one when zippys totally surprised me when i had just pked 6 people (he stood in tree and nuked and totally didnt see him) and the other was a total accident in the arena
otherwise hey my 70ish% rez from my ee is more than enough to make it worth my time

still the BEST pvp bsoe attempt was when i went after mrstorm and he was running and not nuking much and my last shot hit him RIGHT as his bsoe went off and hehe +1 pvp

he is mad cause i talk about that one so much but lmao it was so funny
I once saw a BSOE fail in pvp cause the effect got disrupted like a regular SOE. That was funny too.
NC should remove bsoe from the game, ya ^.^

I maybe use 1 bsoe/lvl and most of my bsoe's were used by accident in town... >.< (the worst time was when i had all these compressed packs from events to open...)
The only thing i BSoE from is a mob train. I would rather waste 200K on a BSoE than 150mil on a new Maj Circlet
I don't even have, use, or buy BSOE's I'm a Prophet so I just hope/expect my return skill to kick in & get me to safety lol

Idea 1) ask for a PvP? most people wont PvP if your already waleing away on them not worth it.

Idea2) dont run up to people and start hitting them when they are killing a mob. makes it realy hard to PvP some one when your in the middle of killing a mob or two.

Idea 3) Great idea this one is try PvPing people around your lvl. and stop PvPing prophets!!!!

thought you got the memo! prophets = the best fights yo especially the ones that are sitting most of the time they are something fierce!
Well I'm not a pro PVp person, but I get my share of forced PvP's on me and I proudly stay till the bitter end, fighting back if the fight is worth it (meaning if it wasn't induced to get me red and then loot my drops...Very often used tactic which has made most people quite crancky on the PvP/PK side -- Juts check out the wining topics we've had LOL).

I don't have BSOE but I do have BREZ with me :) I rather be rezed and try again then to cowardly run.

Funniest PvP I ever had was a few days ago, with a Spell SInger who started to mokker on me and my general and Engaged in PvP over some drops we had picked up (not knowing it were his/her's because there was no one around when we picked it up) and going balistics by nuking me first till I had but 45 HP over and then stopped and killed of my SE. And then just let me stand there LOL...I went like Oo WTH mate!

It was too funny...Wether the player lacked the confidence towards me not going down in two blows and still standing after the 5th is of a mistery to me....But I was rolling on the floor laughing.

So Not enough PvP?? CMON :p

The Prophets that are sitting, are probably buff bots, If you do run into a real Prophet, some of them will put up a good fight, I for sure will anytime.
Prophet was my first toon. In a small party I'd get a chance to swing a sword or two. 7 people and up I spent either most or all of my time sitting to regen for the next buff round.

Thats how the old age Prophets do it, same with the buff bots, but if your main is your Prophet, you most likely have 2 sets of gear, heavy & robes.
When I go leveling with my clan 90% of the time they want me in my heavy, helping deal the damage & with the crits I hit (500-700) I tend to take the spotlight away from the other melee classes. The other 10% of the time I'm in robes either playing assistant healer or buffing (when we don't have a WC in group) Which isn't often. I can also solo pretty well. All I have to do is find green mobs, in ev or angel falls (lizards) buff/ss/ & kill. My heavy prevents me from taking on to much damage & my +9 dagger with 81% crit & buffs, deal the damage. I really didn't know how well I would do in pvp, so I went to the arena fought a level 74 SE & actually won. In my opinion it really depends on how you set your character up. If your one of those Prophets that likes to sit there & let everyone else do the fighting, knock youself out, thats your choice & no one will hold it against you. :D
You speak as if the average prophet is able to afford 2 sets of gear, a +9 weapon and has the usual luxury of a WC coivering most of the buffs.

Did you just call me old???
Well if you are the only buffer in the party so pls show me how the hell i can buff 9ppl and then kick [censored]. I have played my prophet for 2years and i still cant do it if i want the to have mana for the next round. If there is 2 buffers then its np but there is not alot of grps that i have been in that hade 2 buffers.
For the pvp stuff, prophets can beat alot of other robe classes, alot is luck if its a mage like necro and so on.

Not an average prophet, but a main Prophet (your main character) You telling me your main char doesn't have the most expensive stuff you can afford on him? He probably does & you will fork out as much as you can get to make him the best he can be. People do the samething for Prophets believe it or not. Not everyone has to get 2 gears, bu the one's who want to do some damage or can afford to do damage will try to get 2 sets of gears, because they know that a Prophet in robes with a staff wont do the damage, but one in heavy with a sword will make a big difference. Instead of those people deciding to create an alt & supply him with gear, ss etc.. They put that focus & money into the Prophet, even if he's a level 52 with bw robes, but CG Full Plate.(still heavy) Also the +9 weapon wasn't something I bought, but what I made with a friend, we got lucky, I also had the money to do so, because I don't have any alts to gear up.

I said I wasn't the only buffer in the party my clan has an SE, the usual time I have to play buffer (shared with SE) I also said 90% of the time my clan doesn't need me as a buffer we have an SE & usually a WC! :)

No I didn't call you old, I said your Prophet is old school heh
Well old school or not if you are the only buffer in a clan you cant expect him to go crazy with mighty duals/daggers/forks and spoons afther he had done his thing to 8peps. The grps that i have been in we where lucky if there was 2 difrent buffers so i didnt have to do all the buffs, maby i was unlucky or something duno. But then again i did tank a raidboss so im pritty good as a tank 2

Eq arnt you old? like over 30?
... since when is over 30 a qualification for OLD??? :(

lol 30 isn't that old ;) jk

We our clan currently have 2 Prophets (1 isn't that active) I'm always active, we have 3 SE's & two are always active, also a orc who has a private WC that he always brings with him to the groups. So basically I next t never buff. This weekend I full buffer. I buffed a group of 8 of us & it was awesome, 2x SE,2 X Sorcs, BD,glad, destroyer. What made it easy for me to buff & still have MP left over? The SE's. Considering they have much of the same buffs I had. 1 SE was the healer/assist buffer, the other SE was MP regenerator & I was main buffer/ assist healer. It worked out really well & we killed for hours. (till some people had to leave) The whole time I was buffing, I wore my BW robes (for extra mp) & my dagger & shield, buffed myself, auto my CSS & killed along side the Glad & Destroyer. It worked out great :D You can always buff & still continue to kill, it all depends on your set up & who's in your groups.

Indeed, a lot depends on the group you are in and the resources they have available. Obviously if Tiffy would be sole buffer/healer in a party she would need to sit most of the time regening the MP's needed for next buff round.

But we always make our teams up so that there is at least on of each and none of the assisting parties needs to drain thier MP beyond repair for the next round.

We have indeed two SE's always with us and a EE on holiday at the moment, so should even get better once she's back. I can only add that the way we do it, it works just find :)

Besides spoon, Tiffy has been more then once clear about the fact that indeed not every one is able to have two sets nor does she say you SHOULD have it ;)

And Q, you're not old mate :) well spirited and dynamical would be better expressed :) Gratz once more on the new clan and alliance btw :)
Well said, thats why your our leader!

ALL HAIL FAIR LEADER LEYANIRE, at least I will hehe :)
Lamana you are joke. Crying about people bsoeing when you carry that lapdog of a EE to PR you at the slightest chance a loss
LOL TIM GFG last time i recall pring was when u guys had nukers with bd and full buffs

doing sin eater quest... umm 60pks =P
Previous post edited. it was my first. and I was a little tired from RL crap.

Half those Pk's must of been when you killed peeps at the teleport spot in FG. Really sad considering your high opinion of your PVP skills. I am glad though that you joined FO. the 4% loss sucked because you were sleeping with parkins and decided to use him and LordGlav to help you get the last hit.
Meh... I've been skimming over a lot of this stuff but one thing bugged me...
Prophet was my first main. I couldn't even afford BW robes until I was 55, non-the-less an actual bg weapon... And then heavy to top it off. And this was in C3. (I started playing late C2.)
So prophet was my ONLY toon equipped, yet I couldn't even afford ideal robes. This is when BW gloves were the expensive piece going for 7m.

NOW I *might* be able to afford top b weapon + heavy + bw robes, if I stripped my other toons (big might given the fact that bw tunic is for 30m and so I'm back in Avadon since I decided to reroll ES for a time and sold my bw robes). But I play my main w/ my bf's sub and so I have to have an active alt while he's leveling his main class.

Oh let's not forget that I'm now able to use Ag on my prophet. Thus it would be even MORE expensive. Even if it'd just be tallum...
Hey, if I could, I'd be happy to buy a set of heavy and a set of robes and a nice weapon to top it off - but too bad I can't.

Sorry, trying to figure your question out.
Ok so the problem you have is? You couldn't afford BG robes and...?
Not a question, just the person stating that any MAIN should be able to have both heavy and robe armors. In addition to a nice weapon.

If somebody can hardly afford robes, why would they be able to afford two sets of armor and a weapon to top it off?

A year later, I'm not sure I could afford it still, even stripping all the toons I have.

The comment was made in absolute ignorance, assuming that everybody has easy access to a large amount of money.
Well.. Making money in L2 is hard, but it's possible.. Learn when to buy what and when to sell what, and you'll have money to buy your stuff soon enough.. I was the lvl 30 elf wizard in no grade gear when I found out that saving the money the mobs drop wasn't really the way to go, and that I needed some other forms of income.. Then I started selling enchants, what made possible for me to have top C when I turned 40..
The market is crazy? Yeah.. But it's still possible to make legit money.. You just have to be creative (and VERY patient)..
I'm actually horrible at buying and selling. And crafting. (I got frustrated simpley trying to craft a sin eater...)

The alt I use most often is my BH, which helps make money.
I also have been raiding on my dark wiz and had really nice luck for a time with drops (got 3 blessed EWC's, a full c weapon (which I crushed to buy a war axe for my BH), a mid c-shield (which I crushed to make css for my BH) and a mid-d shield. As well as misc EAD's and an occasional EAC)

I managed to sell the only bg weapon I've ever had for a 17m profit though... cost 18m when I bought it, then prices went up and sold it for 35m. (Lucky me, prices went up when I decided to reroll EE)

Otherwise... I absolutely suck at the market x.x And rely on my bf for that (I supply mats, he crafts and sells for lots of profit). Unfortunately he failed 2 SoM crafts which depleted our mats and his money.

Not a question, just the person stating that any MAIN should be able to have both heavy and robe armors. In addition to a nice weapon.

No one at all said, "YOU HAVE TO" have two sets of gear, thats a kind of question you ask when you skim threw the thread, instead of actually taking the time to read it fully. :)

What are you spoiling? If you stay on the abones lvl range, and if you're able to manor at the same time you can make a quite decent amount of money, without having to worry about buying and selling..

Unfortunately he failed 2 SoM crafts which depleted our mats and his money.

Oh, and I'm sorry about the failed SoMs.. % crafts are kinda dangerous.. They can make you either very happy or very sad (very rich or very poor?)..

I did not say they said I had to. and once again, I did not state any question that was not rhetorical.
This was the post that I stopped reading at because it was like "...dumb ***" and thus all the ones following it are the ones I skimmed.
Let's see what I said about the original poster "just the person stating that any MAIN should be able to"
SHOULD BE ABLE TO is not HAS TO.
The person either stated or implied that people have the ability to equip their main as they would like - unfortunately, as was my point, people do not have this ability and it's stupid to think such. Even if all the funding does go towards the main.

I would have loved a set of heavy and a weapon for my prophet... but seeing as to the fact I couldn't afford the robes I wanted... I was putting every effort into equipping my main, unfortunately it was not enough to be anything but a buff [censored].
Oh and I spoil what I need. I don't sell any of my mats really... I give them to my bf and he crafts and we sell that for more then just the mats would go for :P
Thus what I spoil is largely based on what we're low on. Currently I've been spoiling CBP and Varnish (and a lil bit of bone) - I tried on some mobs my level that spoil ccoal, but they were group mobs and it was too annoying. I've also been hunting mobs that drop coins in the areas I'm spoiling - unfortunately that only lasts another level or two.

If I do end up buying bg for my dwarf, I'll be spoiling in cemetary - what little I was there, I got some nice spoils. (I had to spoil some fp tempers for ally, all other BH were too high)

Actuallyl I know a lot of people who would have the ability to fund there main with two sets, & are legit players. You think that everyone has to buy there equipment, in order to fund themselves. No they don't, I know people who make there equipment, especially when you buy something like a BW tunic for 30mill, when there are people who can make it for a lot less. It only takes time & effort to get the material together to craft it. You said it yourself, the poster, said "if you decided to equip & put all your effort into your main, then you can almost get everything you want." You said that you would love to equip your prophet with robes, BUT you decided to put all your effort into your main, the poster was implying that there main is a Prophet & could afford two sets of gear ,because they only have 1 main char & no alts. They aren't saying everyone has to or saying they need to, saying they should be able, isn't saying something like "you must be able to equip your char, or your a [censored]" your being ignorant by trying to argue with someone's opinion. They are allowed to say "should" they aren't arguing with people who say they couldn't or can't. FYI theres nothing wrong with saying people could do it, because there are people out there that can do it with out e-baying or buying money. If you really need me to name people who are legit & worked hard to get money for there chars & can afford 2 sets of gear, I would do it, but I don't want to pull them into anything. :)
a lot of people don't have two sets of gear for there characters because,
1.) They don't need it
2.) They would rather put that money for two sets of gear towards gearing up another char/alt.
Ok ok

Ladies, stop fighting.

I think this can all be settled with a little music, some candlelight, a bottle of merlot, a silk pillowfight and me as your guest referee.

No hitting to the face and only mild hair pulling please.

What? I'm not threatening you I'm just asking you, because I thought I've seen you mention your wife before, so I'm asking you? lol
And let's not forget option 3

3) trying to gear your clanies with all the effort placed in getting THEM waht they need to buy or craft that gear ;)

Very true lol :)
It's not like I'm saying they have to have 2 top AG gear, all I'm saying is,
1.) You can have two sets of gear (doesn't have to be top grade)
2.) If you have a main equipped & an alt equipped, thats 2 sets of gear right there! Who said you have to be able to afford two sets of gear for 1 player? If you sold that set for your alt, BOOM, you have another second set for your main.
End of dicussion, no more arguing like EQ said. lol :D
No pillow fights either thou ;)

Exactly, again hail fair leader for speaking so wisely :) lol

"I was putting every effort into equipping my main, unfortunately it was not enough to be anything but a buff [censored]."
"So prophet was my ONLY toon equipped"

Tell me where I said that the prophet was not my main at this time? Yes I talked about rerolling EE, but this is after my prophet is stripped. I've stated all of this was in C3. See? "And this was in C3."

Also, Tell me where I said anything about players needing to buy their gear to afford two sets?
ALSO! Do you know the drop rate of a single BW tunic rec? 1 out of 2k. Drops off a single mob. Yes it's only 61 or something, but it's one of the most annoying mobs in VoS to kill.
I leveled 60-62 there on my ES w/o getting a SINGLE BW tunic rec.

[censored]... learn to read please.
"I was putting every effort into equipping my main, unfortunately it was not enough to be anything but a buff [censored]."
"So prophet was my ONLY toon equipped"

Yes drop rate is pretty low, but the other option is a group mob in Silent Valley..which let Valley of Saints your best shot on getting a 100% BW Tunic rec.
Now now now....There is no need to get aggravated nore to use censored swear words.

No one is trying to implicate anything on anyone. Everyone is taking bits and pieces on the subject and are reacting to parts posted (although I must admit some posts are not always that clear to understand what one exactly wants to say, even if read over 5 times).

I know the low rate of a BW rec dropping in VoS. Been leveling myself there for the past 3 levels and had onely 1 rec so far. They are indeed low...

About the part of players needing to buy their gear, I wouldn't know I haven't found that myself. So beats me why it's been said.

As for the confusion about the prophet STILL being your main, it will most likely come from the line where you stated that you were lucky to have rerolled EE...I understood this also as the EE being your main now due to all the bad luck on trying to get the prophet equipped the way you would like.

I quote:

"I managed to sell the only bg weapon I've ever had for a 17m profit though... cost 18m when I bought it, then prices went up and sold it for 35m. (Lucky me, prices went up when I decided to reroll EE)"

Besides in that same post you talk about a BH and a Dark Wizard alt which obviously also have some sort of equipment ;) so the main was not the only one being equipped.

I quote:

"The alt I use most often is my BH, which helps make money.
I also have been raiding on my dark wiz and had really nice luck for a time with drops (got 3 blessed EWC's, a full c weapon (which I crushed to buy a war axe for my BH), a mid c-shield (which I crushed to make css for my BH) and a mid-d shield. As well as misc EAD's and an occasional EAC)"

But that is not the essence of the subject here at hand, just showing how fast one can understand something the other way it was ment.
Chill ppl.. It´s possible to afford 2 sets, but it's hard and not everyone can.. I have 2 chars in AG and there's no way I could afford top A for both of them, so.. But I know some people (who are legit) who can, so you're both right..

Actually.. I think the 3 of you are right.. I agree with PameanWraith too, so if you guys need some pillows, I'll be glad to help you all with that )..

Triple threat match???

What? I'm not threatening you I'm just asking you, because I thought I've seen you mention your wife before, so I'm asking you? lol

LOL! Not a wrestling fan I suppose.

Not a huge Wrestling fan, unless that comment was coming from someone by the name of Triple H? :D lol
Yes Prophet In heavy Armor rules. Why else give this kind of mastery. And skils to help inhance in combat. I for one dont sit. Ill buff and some time jump in 2nd behind tank.

JUst wish i can find descent place solo at 61.

But what would do for that Vr buff. That shiit rules with prophets buffs.

RedStealth2 (61)------*---(62) prophet
Craftyred3 (60)---*--------(61) warsmith
Redstealth long way to go ;)
Well, I don't really have that problem, my clan have 2 SE's in it & I also have an SE.. So if they can't give me VR I can get it myself from my other character :)
Prophets do rule... in heavy armour also lol ;)
