does anyone know the number of characters in the L2 CDkey? i think i know how to get these numbers but i want to verify it somehow. if you answer please include dashes, ie, xxx-xxx-xxxx. also, i changed my passwords back to what they were before and still cant log in. does anyone know if there are any rules about passwords, other than number of characters, such as, can it be the same as another password for another game? as for unique account IDs, it was in one of the first emails i recieved from NC, hope this helps people who may still be trying to gather the info.
both sets of numbers i have are in the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx which means one of these two methods may work, but they forgot a dash between the first two sets. the other is probably a mask or ceasar cypher of the first, since its easier to get to. ill go back to scrounging for my CD case and see if i can find a match to either of them. and ill mail you so you can see if they match up too.
im so screwed i changed my pass for my master account just now for my master account and lost my cd case.... >.< what do i do now? somehow i think this all could have been avoided.
found my cd case. unfortunately for everyone involved, neither number i was able to get from a previously installed version of the game was useful in finding the original CDKey. sorry.
if you mailm them at support they may be able to delete your old CDKey and issue you a new one via email. your characters should not be effected by this since they are linked to your account, not your CDKey.
