DE summoner party summon can tank and be just as good as an equal level bishops heals.
Most summoners go light armour and bows but that is going to change in c5 not sure what most summoners will be using in c5 probably daggers if i had to guess.

thats an interesting topic of discussion ...
seeing the major DD weapons are nerfed for the summoner cast speed etc, what [should] an Summoner wear to adequately dish out damage and solo with? certainly not robes and 1hblunt ...
daggers? probably the only reason to use one would be for the fast inate attacking ability ...
but i suggest fists may be a better alternative. preferably one with either the health SA, Focus, or Haste.
just not sure how well it would work. im not sure if the fists are part of the nerf or not.
this same logic would fall true for support classes as well, no?
