Especially for fansites, we can't really operate very well here if we constantly run into a wall of PM limits.
Please remove this limit, there's no reason to have a PM limit in the current UBB version, it doesn't lag the forum at all, we have no limit at all on stratics and its not slowing us down at all (and there I have thousands of PM's saved, some people even tens of thousands).

Sorry I didn't reply sooner! I believe the maximum number of private messages is 500; I don't think there are any plans to increase this number right now. I will double-check on that, however. Thanks!
Thanks, at least I know the limit, which I have far exceeded at this point since it includes both sent and recieved messages. I do get alot of messages on here, many stratics related which I just can't delete because people tend to drag things up later "Well, I sent you a message saying such and such and therefor you suck", at least I can verify it. (its also very handy when dealing with people who submit info and keeping the "recieved pm confirmation" message)
I hope they'll consider increasing it, because its very limiting, and as far as I know from the stratics tech team (same forum) PM's shouldn't have any real effect on forum performance whatsoever.
Oh wow..I just saw this. Is it really that much of a problem that you have to put a limit? I can see how it would be a huge problem for the fansite people.

Its even worse than before, because at precisely 500 there won't be any warning that you're at the limit like there is at 500+, you just won't recieve PM's.
