Macro for switching hot bars?

Hi guys,

I am playing levling up an orc mystic to make a WC, and one thing I've noticed is he has a ton of abilities.

So I was wondering is there a macro to make switching between hot bars easier?

To me if you could macro it and make it a one key press it would be awesome.

How do you mean?
Macro up a few skills into 1 click?
Or just a quick way to switch hotbars?

Both ways are quite possible. Check out Macros under ALT+X ingame. For fast switching, use ALT+F(1-10), each key corresponding to that # bar.

Macros are also directly accessible with Alt+R. =)

And yes, switching hotbars with alt+F[x] is a good idea, but on a warcrier I think it's only really necessary for buffs? I'm not sure.

if you choose "enter to chat" your chat promt wont be permanently active, and you can use normal numeric 1-0 (+ \ and - for the last 2 buttons) to activate hotkeys like that, and ALT + (1-0) to swap hotbars

No need to reach all the way to the F-keys

I think the question is though can you put the alt+F1 etc command into a macro? Thus enabling you to click a button on your hotbar and that would cause it to switch hotbars.

err...is there a big difference between hitting F1 for switching the hotbar and ALT-F1?

Any what class has so many skills that it needs to switch hotbars that fast? Yeah i know PP/WC/OL have lots of skills, but what PP/WC/OL doesnt have them already grouped in Macros?

Well, using buffmacros (for example) actually slows down the buffing - there's a pause between every buff.

And I don't see why you can just go along with just 1 bar for buffs (only need it once every 20 mins anyway) and then make a solo-bar and a party-bar. Or combine the later into just 1 bar.

I used 3 bars on SE: partybar, buffbar and one last bar for sellshop, partyinvite/dismiss etc - worked like a charm ^^;

use a nostromo speed pad or similar 1 key press can give you say
alt-F2,F1,alt-F1. you dont even notice the hotbars changing so the main bar is always there,really good for pet commands too

i dont use macros as a WC, but i can see its usefulness as a prophet, since each individual team member needs their set of buffs depending on class

Also some set up hot bars for specific weapon sets.

I see having blunt, sword, and pole sets on my orc as each has special attacks for them

I understrand everyone's responses, but coming from wow and eq2 - I find the ui customization of L2 extremely lacking.

I like having seperate hot bars, with seperate keyboard keys assigned to seperate abilities.

It just makes everything a little bit easier.
