All female clan on Lionna?

Lionna Started Last reply 26 posts
Hey all,

I come from an all female guild in EQ (Sisters Seraphim) where I have a level 70 Necro (Dark Elf of course). I just hit 44 (DE spell howler) and was thinking it was time for me to find a clan. The other day I noticed a group of 4 from the same clan and all were DE female. (two of the character names were ToxicKiss and ToxicLady) It got me to wondering whether it was just a coincidence or are there any all female or all female charater guilds on Lionna?

Thanks all,
Elly
no
You may want to contact Dananerys, leader of the Goddesses.

Last I checked, they were an all-female clan.
Thanks hun, I'll give them a shout...

Elly
That's so weird to me. If by all-female you mean female IRL, that's one thing, but I doubt that's what you mean. If by all-female you mean female characters... it's normal for guys to play female characters sometimes, but what's weird/creepy about it is a guy IRL that would want to be in an all-female character clan. I mean... why?

I hate to answer a question with a question, but Why Not ?

because far too many of them like to "roleplay"

The girls?
no man, not the girls.
None of the bigger clans are all IRL female clans. Also I am sure there are some guy toons in the goddesses. In fact I know Theyon (played by a female) is a male Prophet in Goddesses.
Though they are the closest your going to get to what you want besides making your own clan and requiring everyone to join vent or Ts to prove they are females
Oh, I forgot about him.
I think the Divinity ally has 3 similarly named clans, with mildly different thems, thegoddesses, goddesses, and goddessavengers (i could be way wrong here, but seems like i've seen all 3 names) I think the main one Goddesses is indeed an all female toon clan. Either way, Danenenerys is a good contact for such a 'themed' clan.
As a member of TheGoddesses...

There are a number of clans in the Divinity Alliance with different membership requirements, as well as several sub-clans to the main "TheGoddesses" clan.

To explain it a little more, TheGoddesses is comprised of only female characters, though the RL gender of the player is not an issue. Some of our other clans, such as GoddessAvengers, do not have the same requirements, and so will have male characters as members. There was a time when we considered opening membership to both, but decided against it thus the alliance.

"Goddesses" is the original clan, which we split from when the clan leader, at that time, stopped playing for an extended period of time and it became apparant that we needed an active Clan Leader to advance the clan and stuff. So "TheGoddesses" was created.

However, we do have a fairly large number of female players of all ages from a large variety of areas, as our Vent will attest. I would say that we have more female players than any other clan of similar size that I have ever encountered.

Oh, and, for the record, TheGoddesses, in none of their incarnations, is not an RP clan, though there are a handful of RPers in it.

Like Kyrael. o.o She RPs. And sings. A lot.

Why do you think men cheerlead or go to beauty salons. Its to hang out with the girls.

I would jump at the shot to be able to flirt with many females ;)
With your luck it would be a man playing a woman toon. :)

Would you dress like a woman just to be with the girls? Would you like to just be the girls' "best friend"? The guy all the girls can go to when they're having boy trouble? I doubt it. Liking girls and making yourself become like them just to be around them is different. :p

Amen to that

Hence why I am a Dark Elf, and not a Light Elf.
Oh wow, pwned.
My hubby talked me into playing EQ and I joined an all female guild named Sisters Seraphim. At the time I joined the guild was mostly RL female friends. The co-guild leaders were "life partners". When the EQ population started to go down and many of the Sisters moved on, the guild changed to all female characters and the new guild leader was not only a guy but also a Marine and a grandfather and is currently serving in Iraq. (One of the guild officers just got back from submarine duty) When the other girls left I thought everything would change, however, I found the men that joined our female charater guild were more mature and very nice and very protective of their RL female guildmates. It just seemed natural to look for the same type of environment here.

have you seen the male Darkelf /socialsad or is it /socialcry

That dont touch me dont look at me pose is quite Hello
By default, all elves, light or dark, are effeminate. It's just the nature of elves.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, but, please, don't try to sound "macho" if you're playing a dark elf. You wear long coats with fur collars, for crying outloud, that just *screams* metrosexual!

And you have the whole Goth/genderbending thing going on, too... face it, Dark Elf does not scream "MANLY!!"... because I happen to know, for a fact, that Dark Elves all listen to The Cure and Morrissey when they think no one else can hear.

All of them.

It's true!

Again, nothing wrong with it, just don't make the sad, sad mistake of trying to proclaim and display your machismo when you're represented as a scrawny, blue-skinned fop with no fear or reluctance to showing his emotional side.

It's ok to be... light in the loafers (stupid censor). It's ok to be elven, too.
One's perception of manliness isn't the same as everyone else's. I consider Dark Elves to be something along the lines of "Dracula ****".

Sure, we're skinny, but we're powerful. We're tall, and darkly skinned. We have monotone hair colors. We shoot our bows like we couldn't care if you live or die after we get done shooting you.

Weather you like it or not, most women will agree that Dark Elves are ****. We may not be masculine, but we still are attractive in our own little way.

I, for one, don't, though there's a lot more behind that than simple aesthetics, and I have personally found that a fairly large percentage of my girlfriends agree with me... if we talk about a male avatar as being "cute" or a "hunk", DE definitely do not make the top of those lists. Humans, followed by Light Elves, do, though such conversations are usually very tongue-in-cheek, as I don't think any of us give any serious consideration to a bunch of pixels. Remember that women are not wired to be as "visual" as men are; perhaps one reason that most adult entertainment is targeted towards men, they are more susceptible to visual stimulation.

...However, I didn't say that DE aren't beautiful, all I said was they aren't "macho", by standard definitions of "machismo" and stereotypical... maleness (is that even a word?).

"Dracula ****" is a whole different topic entirely, though. Vampires have always been a literary device to represent sexuality and desire, and the Dark Elves of Aden, both genders, do a very good job, I suppose, of depicting that as well. I seem to recall, in OB, the Abyssal Celebrant that is in Shilen's Temple referring to that goddess as the ruler of darkness, dragons, the oceans and sexuality, though that was later edited out as the lore of the game changed with following chronicles (notice how LE are no longer said to be born from the Mother Tree?).
You are correct in that memory, Kyrael. Still, though, you can see bits and pieces of the lore and game design that cater to that theory.

After all, the last time I followed one of our SK's up the hill I was treated (?) to a view of his backside. Where'd the armor go?
