i would give my opionion, but i don;t know what u used hero chat for exactly or your exact words, so i'll just laugh and advise you to pretend you don;t have hero chat, plenty of heros don;t use it, probly for the same reason you shouldn't

qft, hero chat is not a smack talk channel, not everyone wants to here about the latest small PvP that was just attended by a hero.
Hero Chat = Global Community Chat, which is chat there for things that affect the global community. I don't know anyone that chat banned for saying where mammon is.
I don't know, I love random talk in hero chat, especially when they're bantering without thrashtalking. Random guessing games/player events are also cool.
Messages of "xxx got rolled lawl" are boring but fine, messages of "xxx bots/ebays/cheats" are what will get you banned most likely.
There honestly isn't any purpose for Hero chat. On Erica, the same 12 or so [censored] just spout exactly what was mentioned earlier. "XXX and their bot train down...lawl", "Someone tell XXX he can log back on now, we've left his hunting spot" blah, blah.
Mammon locations would be nice, but hero chat isn't a service. I think being heard all over the land is absolutely dumb; from both a roleplay and/or usefulness standpoint. I don't want to hear who just rolled who or so-in-so has a SOM for sale. I don't want to hear inane chatter, which is pretty much 100% of what is said on it. I turn it on every once in a while hoping someone has something interesting to say, only to be disappointed. I commend you for even being interested in what a hero should talk about. The problem is, you can't have a conversation with a hero in that channel unless you're one yourself. The rest just sit in the audience as (mostly) unwilling participants in a comedy routine.
The purpose of Hero chat is a place for people that had no competion or that were fed points in the horribly implemented Olympaid to gloat and help get themselves banned. ;)
Hero chat hmmm, sometimes boring and annoying, other times funny, I dont mind it personally, u dont have to pay attention to it and if u really dont like it turn it off. I think if I ever got to hero status I wouldnt know what to say, but I would use it for mammon I guess
Im wondering why they dont give chat bann for some heros, like one on Gustin called Ebil he come to server and last count i was make it she sad 24 hello to difrend ppl, than there is when she talking trash talk about other ppl, talking about other ppl that they using bots and she tell theirs names. It just suck when she speak trash about other if she would talk that about me would write loads petritons.
Hiromi what was mean of "misuse of hero chat" what did u write?
On Hindemith, the heroes do give out locations of BS of Mammon and the Merchant, so it's useful in that way. But there are some heroes who are just outright annoying (Catafar springs to mind) so i only have hero chat on if I need to find one of the Mammons

You mean when they aren't lying to bring people to known griefers...
I saw this on kain as well. The location of BS thing, not the lure them to grief them thing. It worked well there. Prety useful if used the way a true heroic being would do.

I find actually going to a couple of different necs/cats to be much more reliable; as well as clan chat (I don't use ally chat). Heroes just aren't reliable or trustworthy.
Im a hero on Lionna i recently got a 72hour ban for "misuse of hero chat", but now i wonder what is the point of it?
People like to pm you random abuse, but then it begs the question if you dont want me to say anything in it? Why have it on?
So far advice-
-Mammon Location
-Tips on Lvling/Locations/PVP
Lionna has 2 main fractions, thus hero chat can be biased, with every comment met with 20pms of abuse.
Help wanted? If you want a better Hero chat give ideas "positive" not negative.
If you say you want nothing in hero chat, i can solve your problem TURN IT OFF!
rofl
hahha ahh this is great, one step closer to you being banned eh?
Well why didn't you inform people here what you said hiromi?
Lets see here....saying the name of a 3rd party program on hero chat, accusing people of using that program, the same program you yourself used to get hero on your dorf. That was one part of what you said, others were sexual references.
So any of those things could have got you the 72 hr ban, maybe if you were not mentally challeneged this would not have happened. It's funny though because you will never, ever learn and one day your account will be gone and all anything anyone will do is laugh.
Just remember, everytime you say something in hero chat, about 60-100 inv members are praying you say something stupid so we can /gm it. So my advice? Shut up, or grow up, one of the two. Since neither of those two things will happen, good luck.
All of which proves nothing. It has been used to grief on Hindemith.
** I was not trying to prove anything.
But the level of drama could... Opposing heros will get contacted and will seize the occasion to pick on the others if it's not true.
I don't pay much attention to it (Gustin) however depending on which Hero is using it they will do things like advertise something for sale, let everyone know someone is looking for a new clan, whereabouts of Mammon and a couple of other bits and pieces, all of which are useful.
A lot of the time it's spamming or boring chat and name calling, then I just turn it off ;)

I stoped shouting Mammon locations. Because
A)people would be impolite when asking just demand to know where the mammon is and assume im god and know ehere he is 24/7
B)Griefers giving out false locations on alts I don't know luring them to locations to be griefed
C)same as B but for the people im in war with
D)people make up idiotic things just to see their name in hero chat.
