I was wondering if any knew how to find their unique ID code if they deleted the email like I did. I just want to make sure I have it some where safe incase something like this happens again, and I need it for future reference.
According to NCSoft you only ever ger the unique ID number at the time you make the account. You never ever get it again nor will they ever tell you that number. If you didnt save or print that email then you lost it forever with 0 chance of getting it again.
ok **** it then, but i dont see why they wouldnt have it on file, i mean if they are asking for ur unique id to identify ur account then they must have it on file to check it??
And they most likely have it on a file, but logically that file would be encrypted for security reasons, so they cannot know what your unique id is, they can only compare the one you provide to the one encrypted in their database.
It doesent matter if you have the unique ID code or not, this code is just one of the items that can identify you as the rightfull owner.
All I did was to inform the following:
- The mane on my PlayNC account
- The name of my L2 game account
- The names of the characters on the game account and info no lvl, class, some items in inv., locations of chars.
- The LAST 4 digit on the credit card I used to pay for the account eg. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-1234
Basicly all they did was cross checking the game account with the credit no. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-1234, all the other infos (chars, lvl, etc.) was only to confirm that you actually is the owner of the account.
Just a side note, all the above was don by phone and I uses a total of 20-25 min(incl. 20min on hold). for that. If it's done by the www, I think the process could take several days.
Yeah my account is going fine, I am playing, but I just wanted it back in case this ever happened again and I needed it. I was lucky this time and didnt need it. But I still want it for future reference. Kicking myself now for deleting that email, and saying to myself "I'll never need that " lol...
