To all who witnessed my fopa on the topic of NC Soft is in trouble; please know that I did post an apology but for some reason they decided to erase it.

Thanks to all who rushed to correct my misunderstanding of QFT as I thought it meant something entirely different. When you read enough of Lukes posts sometimes it is hard to know when he is actually agreeing with you.

I saw a post a while ago with all the acronyms used in game but I missed this one. Anyone know the link to that post so such grievous errors will not be made again by the likes of me?

Sometimes Im not exactly sure how its being used either. Could happen to any of us. :p

I hate QFT, seriously its hard to tell if someone is smacking you or agreeing with you

to my understanding there are 2 meanings:
quit [censored] talking
and quoted for truth

probly one of the most miss understood slang IMO

yeah usually I see it used as quoted for truth but occasionally the other meaning crops up.

I have never used it as anything other than "Quoted for Truth".

To the best of my knowledge, it originally meant Quoted for Truth and was misinterpreted as "Quit [censored] talking" by someone who was too shy to use acronyms. I've never seen it used to indicate anything except agreement, most people wanting to tell someone else to cease blabbering would use STHU - "Shut the hell up".

The one other case of two meanings on one common internet acronym that I can think of off the top of my head also has one version which is much, much less frequently used - ETA and ETA, Edited To Add and Estimated Time of Arrival, the latter being the common usage.
