Overlord question

What is the best armour/weapon for a level 75 overlord?

I was thinking of DC heavy and a elysian with health sa. But then i thought that my casting speed wont be that high in heavy armour so maybe a weapon with an acumen sa would be better.

Any suggestions?

Ye the 75 is not that different from 74 :p. Well i guess anyhow still kinda long for me to got there but nvm.
but an OL in clan has been looking at nm robe with a som with acu. And in c5 i heard that there will be some 1h blunts with acu. meself if i had a ol i would prolly go +wit dc robe and a acu blunt weap. well i kinda hate slow castspeed.

but then again doesnt everything depends on what u plan to do mostly once u ding 75?

Its on the PTS. Thought i would try a class i have not played before.

Anyone know what blunts give acumen?

Yes, start another character and play it till lvl 75

tallum robes and dagger with focus . Orcs mage are between fighters and mages so forget about stuff and choose an A dagger (secondly duals ) .

Depends on what you want to do. With a dagger, I miss a lot. With my blunt, I hit alot, just not for much.
I too am going with acumen on my A grade weapon. Speed is a killer in party. There is one high level OL on these boards who has "the setup" according to them. He may post here, but basicaly his is different that most of the others I know of and play with on our server.

I am using Maj. Robes w/ a B one handed blunt w/ health. So far, it is awsome except for AoE parties. Then I switched off to a homu sword.

Stun is only really useful for PvP since you have plenty of other offensive / crowd control skills. It is a popular belief that best melee DPS on wc/ol can be gained through using a dagger. Orc is very difficult to solo, especially Overlord. If you plan to solo, even with a box, you will probably want heavy or light armor for the extra pdef and damage output. Orc solo is hybrid melee / nuker. Melee for damage, drain for damage + heal.

The best way by far to level an Overlord is to find friends or a clan who will group you and help you overcome your deficiencies in PvE for help with PvP and buffing and stuff.

For PvP the best setup for Overlord would probably be the new one handed A grade acumen blunt plus Dark Crystal or Majestic robes. In nightmare robes the extra matk is nice, but you cast dreadfully slow : (
