Hi all,
I have a LVL50 WarSmith that is having troubles finding a place where he can SOLO (as in no buffs, box or anything like that)..
Also, hes equipped with a Orcish Pole w/CritStun at the moment, but hes not effective at all, being too slow and not dealing enough dmg..
I have the possibility to craft (and enchant) Revo*Revo duals, would they at least allow me to solo until 56?
Would they be any good?
Im stuck with this unless I want to spend millions in Healing potions to level to 56 :((
Any Suggestion would be very welcome.
Give it up, you culd solo but it will turn out to be 5-10 mobs then sit down for 10 min. And thats not something most find fun to do longer then a few min. Thers nowhere you cna truly solo right now, and at 6x it even get hard to duo with just a healer.
Your best bet is to keep the pole, and find some SE friend and go and duo with her, as for soloing it won't go well.
As for soloing your best bet is probobly early dragon walley and hunt skelletosn as they are blunt weak, but yeah you need a blunt, but trust me, the xp will be extreamly painfull, and not truly worth it.
And duals forget it, if you don't have buffs for them, it's not worth it. Blunt generate more damage for a dwarf unbuffed, but with crit buffs crit duals are way beter.
On my WS I used FPA set and a Yaksa with health SA and an FP shield. I just about lived in the Enchanted Valley, the bottom mainly on Satyrs, Unicorns and Valley Treants.
I would also recommend getting a blunt, at least with it use have a chance of stunning things and taking less damage. EV is good but alot of the monsters there nuke and dwarfs dont have a high mdef so you may find yourself resting alot. But without a buffer you are looking at using alot of healing pots or you will be resting alot. Haste pots are also good for soloing.
I think i soloed around IT, not in the pit but the areas around that. Also ask anyone whos a buffer for buffs, alot say no but some will say yes.
Yeah,
I was thinking either the duals or a Yaksa Mace with Health.. I guess i will go for the Yaksa then..
The problem is that I cant be online for long every day, only 1 max 2 hours, and if i have to go around 1hour shouting for buffs, thats not good...
I know everyone says "find someone to duo with" but believe me its not easy at all..
Last time i did that Ondbey tried to kill me several times (unsuccessfully) and managed to kill the buffer that was with me a couple of times.
At the moment my dorf has FPA set, +4STR dyes and the Orcish Pole..

Your set-up is good, but if you went -4 CON on the dye, you are susceptable to stun a lot. The Polearm is a great weapon for dwarves, if they have healing. With an SE, you can duo effectively into (so far for me) the mid-60s. Join a clan, and you may solve the un-availibility problem for SEs.
For you soloing efforts, I would recommend buying a lot of Health pots, a number of Greater Health Pots (for emergencies,) and heading to the Vanor Silenos west of Aden.
I would recommend picking on the Vanor Silenos Grunts as they drop Varnish and Coal at about 8%. These sell for 1000a each on my server, and would help pay for the Health pots. See if you can take on two at once using SoulShots. That way you get double duty from the shots, or half-price, as I look at it. (With a healer, you could do three at once, and maybe four.) Certain untalkative players like this area too, but if anyone trains them, you can see it coming from a long way off as the area is wide-open plains (with a few treelines.)

And if all else fails its to the cata's and nec's I go! :D
My Warsmith had to back down to green level mobs when solo. { I Forget the number, something like 3~4 below?} Anyway, i lived in the Sea of Spores for some time. There is a quest from one of the Mages on the 3rd Floor of the IT {Digging up the Sea of Spores}. The trees become a pain with slow, but the zombies should still be green to you. The quest will give XP or adena. There are aggro poison spyders in the area you hunt zombies for the quest, you can train up too. Take greater antidotes for the spyders, but they also drop them.
Mid 50's i moved to Forrest of Evil Spirt around IT. If you have the coin quest going....this would be good. Using your pole you can train up groups here too, Fomers, Tarlk Bugbears.... Yes, you will need Hp's, but somtimes you can catch a healer nearby looking for a group in the pit, just bring them outside of the pit. I was able to solo here for a good while. After that, move up further north to the Tarlk Balisk & Elder Balisk in forrest of outlaw. The Elders are aggro for training together. The Gargs will Stun you..but are not aggo. Transenders are great xp. Turn off your shots until you get them to transform to thier highest, the xp is great for a WS. Ol Mahums are good xp,,but the hardest..seem like you wail on them alot and are social. The Ol Mahum Witch docters,{Magic damage},you will need a duo.
Angdil, suggested West of Aden on Silenos, and I aggree with that area too, but found some stunners there. {Stun mobs have been my worst problem.}
Hope this info helps. ;)
Someone suggested a good clan, and I aggree. My WS is nothing without them. That said, with Timezone differences I still find myself soloing. Enhance xp with parties when you can, both in and out of the Cat/Necros.
Soloing a dwarf without using heal pots, haste pots, swifter attack pots or any other buffs? And using a health blunt or a pole??? Madness...but ok, if that's what you want to do. (Please tell me that you are at least using SS.)
Hunt greens and light blues only. I suggest going back to AI. Most are light blue to you, some are darker. But you make up XP due to the sheer volume of mobs. You can easily train, and you won't have to run very far to get to your next mob. There are also areas for you to sit and replenish HP safely.
My other suggestion would be Vanor Silenos, Vanor Silenos Scouts and such in Aden. But they are closer to your level. Avoid the Warriors if you stun easily. Avoid the mages if you don't have jewels. Avoid the Chieftains unless you have buffs and use pots. Otherwise it will take you the entire hour just to kill one.
At your level, the areas east and west of Ivory Tower proper are also a consideration. But again, stick to greens and light blues.
Its not realy costeffective but i solo'd a lot in DV using mech golem.
That and Harith lizards, well doable as long as they are green/light blue. (near catacomb of the witch)
If u feel gutsy u can also solo Tanor canyon (cost effective) but i reccomend u take a lot of healing pots with u and dont take on more then one group at a time. Find another polearm user and an SE and u are set to go to level 58 or so there.
If u decide to go to Tanor solo canyon NEVER attack whn under 1k HP
