SKills Question

If I delevel my toon will I lose the skills that I have acquired if I delevel past the level I got them at? If I delevel to 35 will I lose my level 40 skills?
Not if you just go down 5 levels. However, I believe that you do lose skills that are 10 levels above you, so be careful.

This was put in to counter folks who deleveled from very high levels to level 4 to use the 'lucky' skill to prevent losing gear while griefing noobies at the starter village. Those ganking folks are out of business now, but the changes made to prevent this remain in the game. (Including never reacquiring the lucky skill after you get above level 4, putting guards in the field of starting areas, and re-spawning reds in Floran)
The reason is for spoiling certain mobs with my BH. i wanted to go down to 35. Too risky?

What material do you need from that mob? Losing over 5 levels is a high price to pay. If it is a base mat, you can get that from other mobs near your current level, or through the manor system. If it is a key mat, you are probably better off obtaining one of them, and then setting a buy-store to get the rest.
the problem I have is that she has only D grade gear. My adena is lacking to be able to get gear to fight mobs her level. bad purchases and lent gear to my wifes toon = hurtin for cash :)
hmm if you delevel for 5 level you are sure you get enough SP points to keep your skills up to date :) i am 66 i missing only a few mil SP point atm o.0

Ahh... What gear do you have? BH is lvl 45, yes?
Mith heavy top/bottom and dual 107's.
That is okay gear. Buy some Chilly Cobol seeds from the Manor Dude in Giran and head to the northern part of Death's Pass.

Seed, and spoil, the Windsus pigs. They spoil varnish at high rate (72% if still green,) and the Chillys give Animal Bones (if you can turn them in; at 6:06pm CST, EXACTLY) They also spoil the Mithril Alloy recipe occasionally, which should sell for 40k or so.

Varnish is about 1400 to 2000a on my server, and bones have dropped to 1100a to 1300a. A few hours on the Windsus pigs and you can get a lot of money. The Grandis is aggro nearby, doesnt spoil anything good, but seed him too, if he attacks.

Another candidate is the Lienrik Lad in the Fields of Silence. You will need seeds from the Innadril Manor. The Lad is aggro (so you can separate him easier) and poisons you (so bring greater antidotes.) He spoils coal (800a to 1200a)at about 40%, and metallic thread (3000a to 3500a) at about 4%. (You may get a gastraphetes shaft, but it is rare.)

If you go solo, bring health pots and a haste pot (to run away if things go bad.)

Another candidate, although a bit tougher to kill, is the Taik Orc Warrior, in the early part of the Forest of Mirrors. He spoils silver nugget (400a to 600a) at 40%, steel (15,000a) at 10%, and plate gaiters parts at 5%. He is listed as aggro, but I found that only 50% of them actually are; seems to come in two 'flavors.' You need seeds from Aden Manor, which you can buy in Hunter's Village nearby.

Get crops and mats from these puppies, and sell them to get the adena you need to buy better gear.
THANKS for the advice. I finally got a hold of about 1400 chilly cobol seeds. I turned in about 50 fruit and got over 100 animal bones. woa talk about fast cash! If i can catch the manors when they are buying then Im thinkin I will be ok. Thanks! Now to try to figure out how to turn them in at the right time seein as I am in the Iraqi time zone... Actually.. Sometime rank does have its privledges hehe. ;)
