There are a few around, but if you want one the cheapest way is to get one from the lux shop in Giran.
Just collect C and D grade crystals, buy cheapest you can find.
Go to Lux shop and purchase the Dark Screamer.
Go to blacksmith of mammon and make an even trade for free to the SoWD.
If done well it should cost you under 7mil. I got a Dark Screamer for 6.8mil. Market price on kain goes anywhere from 7mil to 10 mil for the Homu, SoWD, and Dark Screamer line of items.
Having played an SH as my main I have to ask why SoWD? SH already have incredible Matk. When you're in C gear you will probably get Demon Set (given +4 INT, -1 WIT, and -HP), +4 INT,+5 WIT tattoos, and best weapon (pre C5) will be Homunkulus with acumen. [I think I read that C5 will add a top C grade staff with acumen but I can't verify this]. If you have access to a recharger you will probably use Karmian set for armor instead of Demon.
SoWD is generally used by non-nukers (I heard SK like them a lot). Anyway, I would discourage use of SoWD for SH.

I use the SoWD as my main weapon for my SH now. I got the Magic Power SA which adds the 99 to my m.atk. For me, with the SE recharger, it is the best option. Instead of 3-shotting mobs I am down to two. I can explore areas up to 8 levels higher than me (50) and not have any issues.
Sure, casting speed isnt all that bad, but with the 52 INT I am a happy nuker. I switch out to the Homunk and Karmian set if I am raiding or need to BTM but my SPS and SH consistenty use this weapon.
In C5 I would think people might revisit this weapon since sleep really isn't going to be an option for nukers and pure damage might take over again.

It's been a long while since I was in the 4x levels. You make a good point. My unbuffed Matk is >1000 so adding 99 to it wouldn't help damage output at all (less than 3%). But at lower levels Matk, even buffed with emp3, will be more like 500 or 600 I think so the SA adds maybe 10% damage. I can see that this would be useful damage to move into a 2-shot range on mobs and to also improve the overhit potential of Shadow Spark / Shadow Flare.
Can you comment on your Matk with and without emp3? Also, does the 99 Matk from the SA get boosted further from emp3?
