need advise from orc tyrants

So i equipped my orc tyrant with Nightmarish Leather Armor and a Dragon Grinder and headed up north of elmore into the new areas.

And i'm so far finding alot of dark blue mods which are giving me a fight for my money. It's not so much that they are hammering my HP they aren't even touching it.

But the mobs HP is so massive it's taking alot more time to be able to kill them then i thing it should take. Which makes me wonder how i'm going to handle light blues and greens let alone whites.

Just what am i doing wrong? Or is this how it is for Orcs?
*gives Splatter boxing lessons*

There, now you teach them dark blues who's boss!

Anyways, I have no clue, just thought I'd give a laugh >.>
you just auto-attacking (please say no) or using skills and soulshots?

Also you should look at your buffs and totems that you are using.

there are several that should be active and used.

And use all the punch skills as you can (yeah mp drain) as needed to kill them quickly. But the ahrd part is balancing kill ratio to down time
I'm holding shots out for when i really need them. As for skills i have bear active all the time.

I know i have to use my skills alot more. Let me see if i can manage my skills better.
What level is your tyrant?

At higher levels you need to always use ss, in order not to fall asleep while fighting a mob (if you're solo). It'll just take way too long.

Level 75 on the test server like everyone else....

You start with 100mil on the test server... Why would you not be spamming SS?
Well, on PTS I just firsthandedly discovered that the life of a melee isn't an easy one. I tried the tyrant as well.

Bad news is: you MUST spam ss. Just right-click them on you hotbar for autospam (at least that is easier then playing a nuker, especially with B2M :P).
Oh and use Greater Swift Attack pots. At 75, if there is no WC/PP to buff you, you really should probably do at least that.

Use Fist Fury when fighting (hp consuming toggle), don't use it when you don't fight (remember to turn of when resting).

PvE wise I found the new Hawk totem to be the best general use (improved crit rate and crit damage). So I use it as much as I can when I have high hp. Bear is nice but doesn't increase crit rate and makes you slow. Bison is quite good when you're below 60% of your health, I alternate between that and Hawk.
When I get lower, the actual fun starts...

When low on hp (below 30%) the new Bison becomes uber (455 crit rate self buffed, health weapon). Buff Zealot and for 1 minute you become one mean green killing machine (crits get heavy multipliers even self-buffed, something like x4 damage). Just make sure you don't go higher then 30% hp during that 1 minute or bison will cease to be so uber (back to +100 crit rate only). This allows Tyrant to really shine, but is somewhat risky and doesn't last long.
Most classes (and those melee classes above all) need after a certain level find a party to hunt without a lot of downtime. Even then, they will be spamming SS all the way (Because killing without them is to much time consuming and hard on both hp and mp).

You want the buffs, the heals and the damage support other characters will give you. The game is designed in such a way that we need each other to survive out there.

Try to hunt in a party on the PTS once and spam the ss as well. You will find the experience of continuous nonstop hunting a novel one. Remember, this is just the PTS, your char will be deleted in a week or two anyway so you can use the time to experiment on alternative playing styles.
