Fake Death???

Hello.. i have a question about fake death.. how come it works sometimes. and not others.. like sometimes.. i pop back up with out clicking ont the sit /stand icon.. sometimes the mobs keep hitting me and i pop up and end up dead.. like i just did.. can anyone tell me what i am doign wrong.. thinkn i am never gonna make 60

It has a chance to fail. It used to never fail, but now it has a risk to it.

From what I have heard if you have silent step running (dagger skill - sorry BH's don't get this one) Fake Death works a lot more often.

Even if FakeDeath works, mobs that started their swing at you before you hit the FD button will complete that swing, even if they have to catch up to where you are and then swing. This will make you pop-up, even if FD worked.

To see if FD worked, look to your row of buff icons on the top of the screen. IF you see a little death's head, FD is working. Don't move, even if you pop-up. If FD worked, you will also see your MP bar slowly going down, but this takes longer.

If a mob hits you twice after FD, it didn't work.

Fake Death has never worked for me. But then again my bf just keeps telling me Im not doing it at the right time. :eek:

A lot more often is close. Actually it's 100% of the time. Atleast, 100% of the time for me. And I've used it A LOT =P

Its always worked best for me, if you're running, let as many mobs as possible get a swing. That'll cause them to stop in place for a moment. As soon as they start moving again, there will be a maximum distance between you and they. That's the best time to do fake death, I've never had it fail. They may take one final swing at you, but that'll be it.

So basically the outcome seems to be, fake death works for some & fails for others, but seems to be it depends on when you use the skill, to get it to work properly. :D

The best way to do it is not to FD with the mobs hitting you or really close to you. So pop a haste pot and run, when they are as far from you as they will be, hit FD then and less will give you that last smack. I think this will improve the success rate.

So, if you are training cheaters, run past them so the mobs are right at the cheaters and you are beyond them when you hit FD. This will help them aggro on your target and not you.

omg i had no idea that is how you are suppose to use FD... i thought you used it when alll the mobs were piled on you and you relizing you werent gonna make it..so click FD.. no wonder it doesnt work that often for me... and now thinkin back.. teh times it has worked was when i used it before i needed it ... so guess. it has to be planed out some what.. not last miinute.. thank you for helping me understand how to use it correctly
