I have been playing this game for over a year, I love it. However, before I put anymore time into my charactors, I have a questian. How long before this game collapses under the weight of all the BOTs no one seems to interested in doing anything about. OHH, I know a few people go red trying to kill them, I have, but they respawn faster then they can be killed. And even if they drop, which they never have for me, no real lose to them. How many servers have lost a lot of players because of the BOT epedemic? How long before no one plays because the BOTs have taken over ALL experience areas? In one area I could not land even 1 spell before all the mobs I tried were hit by BOTs. Maybe in 5 something will be done, I hope!!!

But if you really want to know the answer to your question. First lets clear up one thing, there not "bots" there "Pro Farmers"....they are manned to a point that if a GM PM's them they will be there to respawn to them. Really there is nothing us players can do about the problem. A lot of us kill them and train them as often as we can, but they really don't care. Loss of some equipment from time to time and xp is nothing to them compared to what they are able to farm 24/7.
As for NCSoft doing anything, I wouldn't hold my breath. L2-K has done a lot to stop the "Pro Farmers" from over running there market. But it seams that L2-NA really doesn't care much about the problem. They do a mass ban from time to time, and ban others here and there. But nothing to the scale that L2-K does to keep there servers clean.
The problem has been here since the first day the game went live, and im sad to say (unless L2-NA steps up) it will be a problem for the game till the day it dies.

There is an official bot detection thread under general technical issues. Any other bot complaining threads get locked, usually rather quickly. I am beginning to understand why you were banned from L2blah.

Oh man I hate it when I here this from players. It is soooooo not true. You can get anything in this game it just takes time and patients. People that believe farmers are needed are the same people that keep them employed.
If you took the time to get your own materials yes it would take a long time. But that is what clans are for to help each other out. I personaly play the economy since it is faster than collecting the items myself. But if I couldn't and had to collect the stuff myself I would rather take a year collecting them if it meant all farmers would be gone from this game.
Anyone who wouldn't and would quite if they had to do this good quite because you are the people that keep them in this game.
Bots don’t bother me anymore.(they use to but not anymore). Just play the game and have fun. If a bot party has a room you want just take it away. They normally will leave with no issues.
Bots will always be in this game the same as mobs will be. Just think of them as mobs. If you can train them they usually have very good chance of dropping gear

I can handle the Bots I guess. They are their minding their own business and yes they are exploiting the game. There seems to be nothing I can do to stop them but they don't cause that much harm. So I tolerate them.
The Biggest problem I have is little kids (maturity lvl) buy these Toons so they can run around and "PWN" everyone else talking trash. Why should we play a game for Months/years when someone with the maturity of a 13 year old can buy a lvl 78 necro, SR, HE w/e and go around and kill people on a character they didn't own?
I personally know a exoudos about to leave hindemith because of these characters. Unless they are dealt with soon.
Just wanted to say that I find it quite sad that people will buy toons instead of putting the effort into playing them. How can that possibly be any fun?
The other distressing bit is the type of person who buys a toon. I know of someone - not well or a friend - who sold their toon. Later that same week the same toon was being used to PK every lowbie possible. The origional owner would never have done that, not even a hi level. It ruins the character of both the previous owner and the way the toon behaves because many would not know the toon is sold. I could never sell any of my characters (no I'm not saying selling is ok), it would upset me too much to learn they were being misused.
