Sooo Im winding the bend to 40 and i need to know what armour to have for my HE. I currently have an old drake lether set. but i was wondering if i should sell it and buy a new set. i have about 10 mil in bank. sooo what do u guys think i should get. I'm on the Lionna server soo if u know costs that would help but if not its all good. just like sum suggestions. thanks :)
As i remember c grade goes by so fast anyway, sure 5.24% more mdef isnt that much of a bonus. Think plated leather would be the best set, but atleast on erica dont think it costs less than 25 mil, with new prices maybe around 35 mil. My suggestion stick with what u got and save those money for b grade.

Hey should i buy Theca Leather set? i mean i solo most of the time and the added Pdef would be nice, would it not? I dont think i will be able to afford plated leather set. So would Theca be second best?? :)
Theca should be around the same price as Plated Leather if the ecomony isnt totally screwed up on Erica. Did I get it right when I saw 25 mill and even 35 for Plated Leather Set? O.o Its 4.5 mill on Hindemith.

plated leather is infintely better than theca but much more expensive and hard to find. The boots are expensive if you can even find them a lot of times.

If you can do it, go with the Plated Leather. The 10% increase in P atk is very nice. I have a PR (54 now) and I found that with her +7 emi and the Plated leather, I was killing just about everything I went up against before it could hit me. I didn't have to kite at all, and if I got a crit on the first shot I had to run over and pick up the adena! lol Even when I did get hit, the mobs didn't do a lot a damage.
Since you have a +10 emi, it should work just as well for your HS.

Guess I will stop complain about prices. Bought Plated Leather Set for 4 mill 5 days ago.
Personally, I stuck with Drake LA, Mainly cause I think it looks better than Theca. The Pdef difference is minimal and hardly worth te effort of switching. I got B grade armor, I recommend Doom LA set for the HE. A grade is too expensive for me to consider. I got +5 Str, -5 Con in tats. Considering doing +4 Dex -4 Con but i'm holding out for now.
I used plated leather until 75.25 or so.. works just fine (screenshot to prove it)! Just skip B-grade alltogether, I had a BW set for PVP, and got Majestic at early 75 finally. Your weapon is the most important thing, focus on that.
40-52 I used theca, (was given to me for free, so can't complain, tho I hate that stupid hood on the back of it)
I used a +6 DS W/ focus, I made it to +6. by the time I hit 52 I had made a trade on that one gained 10m, and made it +8 sold it for 45m.
if you want to save money, PL boot linings drop in CT, but they are very rare. if you go the the second set of mobs in branded(by turning right, not left), they drop quite offten PL top and bottom parts.
I'm using +4 str & +2 dex, with doom LA, I'm stay with Doom La till 76.
I recumend that you sell off your bow for 100m...and buy a +6 BoP, you can't carry that much Css with as you can with Bss...and the consumtion of Bss compaired to Css is alot less.
emi uses 10, BoP uses 3. you'd save alot of money by swiching.
I think the atk speed on BoP is higher then emi. not sure tho.
you can easily use a PL set till 61. when you get A/g masteries.
And the bonus to +4 str is nice, PL only makes you lose 1 con for +4 str.

I can prolly get 145mil off of my +10 Emi and if i leave the CS on there 150. Get PL Set and don't change that until you are A grade. Craft the boots, don't buy them. +4 STR is the best bonus to have for C grade.
Get a BOP +3 when you get to B grade. The reason why you are upgrading to a BOP is for better soulshot management.
Even Exchange your +10 Emi through Mammon for a +10 Crystal Dagger. Wait until C5 to sell it. There will be lots of Dagger-class rerolls once C5 gets here. I also heard a rumor that Might Mortal will return as a skill, so dagger sales should be vigorous...unlike now.

I did +4 str/+2 dex to midigate the fact of my set bonus I knew that I would be in doom till at lest 66 till then I have time to buy all my mejestic LA set. so I got my tattoos set up to take advatage of set bonus with out killing my CON.

But The BoP is for more Dmg, better crt rate, high atk speed, and far better SS carrage.
BoP is better then soul bow, you can use it till 76 easily. and it has a faster draw rate then SB. BoP is 508 with buffs..none zerked...SB is like 400+.
And it's most importent to knowtice now what gear set up you want before you get there, it's very helpfull. specailly when you get into PvP.

Anyway. I used Theca and a +2 Akat bow from 40 to 51 on my PR. Hell, I even hunted without shots most of the time. I had one hell of a good time. For B grade, as a solo HE, I reccomend Doom LA. If you can't afford Doom, go for Zubei. Evasion > P Def any day. For A grade, Majestic. And if Majestic is a little to expensive, DC works just fine too.

Soo do u think i could lvl for awhile without shots? it would be a great load off my wallet. lol. Thanks :)
It's doable to level without shots, but alot slower than with shots of course, and you will get hit alot more, so more downtime making it even slower.
I remember the good old Open beta days, nobody spammed shots. Was like over a week before I even saw someone with soulshots. Today everyone is addicted!
yea when i first started bout 2 years ago i dont think i even figured out how to use shots till like lvl 22 or sumthin an elven scout. lol. wow life was so simple then.
You get about 4-5% patk per str more, so don't just diss of PlatedLeather just yet :p 16-20% more P.Atk will help you a lot. Its cheap if you craft it, gl.
The A grade armours only add up to 8% patk, this is why the "XP archers" stick with Plated Leather a lot.

Doom on a hawk eye? why, a hawk eye wasent made to kite as well as a SR or PR, hence why they are SLOW, shoot and get hit. Screw the extra -con(if you have tats)
Majestic, clearly the worse choice for a archer, i mean that 8% archery patk and stun resist is a waste!
Only reason to not get majestic on a hawk eye or any archer is if your not going to -8 or more con. Or if your sticking with grinding forever.

PL set to 61 atleast, go higher if you want it won't hurt you for xping thats for sure. For A grade DC light is nice for HE for xping and Maj light 2nd best A grade for xping but best for PvP.
Don't forget that you don't actually get an +8% increase in your patk with Majestic when using a bow. It's more like a +5.25%. There was a thread about how this sets bonus works and it was confirmed by NC Soft themselves that it is not truely an 8% increase.

I think that depends on your tatoo setup. I had about 10patk more in majestic than DC when I tried on DC when I was 75, with +5 STR. So it's the same for draconic.
True, Majestic only give about +5% patk for HE's and PR's, because you get about 800patk from your masteries that isn't affected by buffs or set bonuses.. :(
PS. I remember buying my Plated set for like 1.2m way back in C1 when almost nobody saw the benefits of STR :> I was a pioneer!! :>
