I think I remeber reading somewhere that when you get a summons it is always 2 levels above whatever your current level is. For instance, a DA at lvl 40 gets his first skill for summoning his Panther and it will be level 42.
My question is if he waited till 41 to upgrade that skill, would his panther be 43 then?

the 2 lvl thing is only true at higher lvls
E.G
new panther at 70
panther is lvl 72
at lower lvls its more like
new panther at 40
panther is 44
its more a case of summons being 1 skill lvl higher than you than 2 lvls
