As a warlord, I completely agree, but for different reasons. I can't use my aoe's on warring clans because they still have to flag first. This is especially infuriating on nukers and archers, as the only way I'd get an advantage would be to sneak up to them or catch them off guard, or attack in a cramped environment. But at present the only way I can attack is if they start. They never start to attack unless the situation is in their favor.
I wish I had that luxury.
If you have a logitech mouse you can assign key combos to your mousekeys. All mine are combo-ed with ctrl. Just be sure to watch who you assist in XP.. :)
Isent there a command like /skillforced or something to force eg. a hurricane assult?
/useskillforce (Skill Name)
Yeah, but it's still not perfect. If I make a macro with that I can't just hold down the key but have to continually depress teh key to get it to start again. Which means I have to pay more attention to each timer and less attention on what is going on.
I eventually bought the Logitech mouse. It's not perfect but it helps. I wish I could press a button on it to permanently enable control and then press it again to disable it. Otherwise I find that the buttons don't quite fit my hand right.

Windows has a feature called sticky keys.....you might want to look into it...

I tried to use sticky keys.. But they don't work :(
should we be able to use any skill at anytime even on the white players...just like at sieges?
I don't think that's what people here want. It's just that it's a bit of a hassle, to have to hold down control constantly during pvp anywhere but combat zones. Once upon a time you could just press Alt Gr once (not sure if it's called the same on all keyboards) and it would act like a held-down control key untill you pressed it again. But they took that away :(
It sucks though that some of the skills dont work with /useskillforce because its too long in the macro. Triple Sonic Slash, and of the Surrenders etc. that don't meet the restriction you cant make a force macro for

drag the skill to a hot bar and use that insteed
/useskillforce shortcut 1 1
Nostromo Speedpad solves it all.. ^^ ...I have all my keys set up as macros to include ctrl per default. Sure, have to be a bit careful in PvE but it works wonders for the problem. One could easily manage two setups and switch between them with a key as well, if one is a bt cunning.
I have the ctrl key mapped to one of my mouse thumb buttons.. its easy to click and hit the same buttons for spells. Makes it much easier
Same here my mouse has 4 buttons and the scroll wheel. Button under my thumb is Ctrl only took a couple pvp's to get use to it. Now its second nature just as easy as killing a regular mob. Button on the other side is esc just incase I miss target LOL.

I have the nostromo n52 also, but I programmed the CTRL key to the thumb directional pad. ya I still have to hold it down but the position the directional pad is in doesnt interfere with my other 4 fingers and the commands.
I feel I have a lot better control with this then assigning this as a macro on my other keys. my class often has me in the middle of battles constantly targetting
<3 my n52. It's a complete crime that you can't remap your keys in L2. I have to have my skills arranged in a QWERT-ASDFG fashion so I can reach them all easily without having to move my hand around.
if you can't hold ctrl+ F6 (that's my atk button) ... then i don't think you should be playing...if you can't press 2 buttons at the same time...just throw away your computer now...what happens when you need to force a program to shutdown? ctrl+alt+del....sweet jeebus...that's 3 keys...you're doomed man...DDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE EEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
The "macro" my speedpad consists of is mapping the keys 1-10 to ctrl+F1 - ctrl+F10 (reversed though)... so I just hit the appropriate key on the speedpad for hotbar positions 1-10, and they're always forced by default, no matter what shortcut is on it. The macro is instant.
I also use three shift states (controlled by d-pad) to remap all the keys to different hotbars (slightly longer macro but works great and is also instant: alt+Fx, ctrl+Fy, alt+F1 - ie switch to hotbar x, hit hotbar slot y, switch back to main hotbar). Makes it easy to fill two hotbars with buffs as a buffer and a third one with utility spells and items, and quickly use them with the speedpad (have to memorize keys though but hey, L2 is a looong game ;)

Just wondering what mouse can do this specifically, my Kensington can't do this and I'm looking to buy one that can.
