Ok..

Going from sword/shield to a bow is easy just put th bow in the hotbar and click it..

How do I go about making a macro that will re-equip my shield/sword??


Basically I want to use a bow to pull then switch to sword/shield to fight.

same exact way, put a shield/sword in your hot bar and make a seperate macro for it

AH ok..I guess what I am really asking is how do you make the macro?? :)

I understand you can put the bow in say 8 the sword in 9 and the shield in 10 amd switch between them using 3 keys. What I'm looking for is how to make a single action key(macro) that switches to the sword/shield.

a) put weapon/shiled in a hotbar slot
b) macro command is /useshortcut x y where x is the number of the hotbar and y the number of the slot (e.g. 9 2 for second slot in hotbar 9)
I did this out of my memory, so don't shoot me if the commands are slightly incorrect ;)

(I found you can also just drag an action number icon to the macro line and it auto does the line)

Just be careful when you do this. It sometimes forgets to equip one or the other. I can't tell you how many times I put away my bow, equipped my shield, and stated beating on a lizardman with my bare fists.
