I've been saying for as long as I've played the game that any kind of L2 collectible would be awesome- a small figure or painted statue. (though I'd prefer something with articulation) I'd snatch it right up.
I'm tempted to photoshop the proper skin colors to see how they'd look. Regardless though, I want that. ****.
I first saw it on a Korean blog that I check from time to time, but it was also up on Playforum, a Korean game site. (the place in the URL)
I can't say for sure if it's something in production that can be bought. If it's fan made, it was clearly done by someone who sculpts such things for living. If it's something that can actually be bought, it's not out yet and I don't see pre-orders for it anywhere. The only Lineage 2 figure that I know of is: http://www.hlj.com/product/PLS69120
Which is still pretty cool. The next figure in the set is a fettered soul, I believe. I wish they'd do a Silenos or a Lizard intsead, but them's the breaks. If I find out anything about the DE statue, I'll let you all know.
I want the JasonM light blue variant!
:D
I'm a sucker for accuracy, what can I say. I was trying to get it to look like actual paint and not overly saturate it so it's still kind of a muted blue like Dark Elves in the game.
OMGOMG! other mobs they should make models of, asap: grandis, tarlk bugbear high warrior, cave maiden, cave beast, canyon bandersnatch, and all the pets, including sineater. maybe once a year someone should come out with a special raid boss figurine. and where are the orc female models >.<
PS: would just like to point out that there are aproximately 2 armor styles per armor type per race per gender, if they only made A grade armor figurines, thats 100+ collectible items, all making customers happy, speading the image of L2, and making NCSoft money. B grade armors would be another 100+ figurines. and the best part is that you can collect sets longitudinally or lateraly, meaning you can get the whole dark elf set, or the while nightmare set for each race. this is a collectors wet dream.
here's a link to a shop here in the U.S. that is selling the first ever Lineage action figures.. their from the first Lineage game I'm not sure if they have Lineage 2 figures but you can only check them out for yourself...

I'm such a toy nut that I made a list of the ones I'd want to see. Four armors for each character in the game, based on my personal opinon on whatever looks best ranging from C Grade to S Grade and including one noob set per character (NG-D) so we don't forget our roots. Maybe a few sets with mob troops, like Silenos and Lizardmen.
There's no way in hell they'd sell here though, not in the volume it would cost to produce beautiful and detailed figures that L2 deserves. If I were to make some, I'd sell them in stores in Korea but make some available for purchase through the NA website for fans here as well.
Well JasonM, they should be pretty cheap to produce as they're likely cast in resin, and I'm sure they would sell enough here in the US to make it worth their while!
Unless of course, they're only producing a limited number, which would make me a sad panda. =(
I've wanted a statue of a lineage character for a long time, so much so that I even tried to learn how to sculpt to make my own! It turned out crappy of course, but Hell, I tried. =)

HAHAHA! I tried doing the same thing with sculpy. Twice! :)
Yeah it's cool.. the instructions are simple.. assimble the figure your self and provide your own paint.. so basically you can have a dark elf with black or red or whatever color hair.. now wouldn't that be a cool presentation.. I already got that sucker on pre-order so I can't wait for it to come out..
proply.. if you get some sculpty and make the back of the hair longer or something like that to match the statue.. but you'll have to have some serious artistic skills .. sadly I don't
Just to update, they are saying there might be a painted version out, though it will be the Lineage 1 model (where dark elves have pink skin) not Lineage 2.
Btw, this isn't a Lineage 2 statue, but a Lineage 1 statue.
For some reason NCSoft Korea doesn't do much merchantdising for L2, which is actually one of their major failing points compared to for instance WoW.
This is something they could gain good marketting grounds (especially since L2's strength is eyecandy to begin with), instead of trying to turn the game into McWoW Junior.
And yes, I want Lineage 2 stuff! Any kind of Lineage 2 merchandise other than shirts would be most welcome. I'd take a Kai the Cat home pregnancy test.

Seeing how CerbeusProject makes them, I doubt they will be cheep. The make some of the best models around. Most of their figures have immense detail to them.
There's many of the same items in Lineage 2 as in Lineage 1 afaik.
I've looked in Lineage 1 databases and I can't find a Sword of Miracles or an Apella Robe anywhere. In name, or appearance. Help me out, here.
They can put it in a box with a Lineage 1 logo on it, but an unpainted Dark Elf with Lineage 2 gear tends to lean more towards a Lineage 2 product in my estimation. Intent is enough for me. It certainly wouldn't be the first time a collectible was shoe horned into an existing line. The only thing tying it to Lineage the first is the skin tone on the more expensive painted version. And it's a safe bet they're factory painted, meaning that the person who sculpted it originally was paid for just that and the color selection was out of his hands.
Now that you mention it, those are actually not apella robes. Unless the back is only painted on.
Looks like an exact reproduction of Apella to me. :D Only difference is that where cloth would be in certain places, they chose to paint it the color of her skin instead. It works either way. Accuracy for **** is a fair trade that I'll take any day.
It's too bad they didn't go with the dark elf skin tone :(
you have to paint them yourself, so its all good ^^
OMG are you kidding me!?!? argh...talk about the ultimate nerf.

As Lord Chaos mentioned, you could buy the pre-painted version (http://www.e2046.com/product_info.php?products_id=6311) instead and save yourself some grief.
Pretty steep, though. I'm not so hot with a brush, so in my case the extra money would be worth not having to risk screwing up the unpainted version.
OMG this is wat i have been looking for wooot
these are so cool, i wish nc soft would do something like this, where u could even customise ur charcater and stuff like that i wish i wish....
