Weapon for human knight ?

What weapon should a paladin/da use ? it seems theres not much of a difference between blunts and swords, but I might overlook something. Give me your thoughts :)
I used a sls when lvling my DA, and with Focus it worked quite well. but the top C grade blunt (forget the name) gets health SA so that may be better if u cant aford spammin pots. lol.
Blunts have higher accuracy than swords, but half the crit rate. In my experience, the extra accuracy doesn't constitute the extreme drop in DPS. Also, no matter what damage you do, crits naturally build and keep hate. So the more crits you do the easier it is to keep hate. I'd go for a sword, hands down. And, if possible, a sword with focus SA.
Hehe well I learn something new every day :) ..I had no idea there were differences that big. I guess I want crit more then accuracy, so I'll go for the sword then ..i guess :P thx 4 the info
i have +5 sls on Da (borrowed of course). Generally hits mobs for a couple hundred...with alacrity pots it is reasonable (though patk still disappoints me).
Don't know about pally.
I don't think there are 'specials' skills for blunt use for DA (not that I recall anyway) though the "powerstrike" is only lvl 9 so it really doesn't do anything with a sword that is remarkable anyway.
Let's face it, patk on DA is 300 (at my lvl with my gear) or so and the DA's panther has around 600. It's the CAT.
I cant say I know much about this game yet.. so my question is ..what is a sls ? :P
samurai long sword. u can get focus on it which increases critical power.
I see.. well then I'm almost certain I will use swords. And I guess up to the lvl required for sls I can use whatever I feel like or something :P ..thx again

samurai long sword. u can get focus on it which increases critical chance.

Corrected =P

Kinda got that :P
I'm sorry about answer I wrote earlier--though it's all true (lol).
You said human "knight" in your question.
The right sword non-grade is falchion for melee sword users and the right sword for d-grade is Elven Long Sword (els).
Generally Tanks go sword and shield cause they get special attack skills for sword and defense skills for shield.

Most probably try to use falchion up to lvl 20, els from 20-40, sls from 40-52, then it varies a lot though sword of damascus isn't unusual 52-61 or so I'm told.

Got a little ahead of myself answering your question originally.
Well the reason for "human knight" in the question is that I have serious troubles making my mind up about going pally or DA.. but I thought that if i know what weapon to use then I can atleast start my char and bring it up to 40 :)
good luck with that decision!
Like everyone else on planet I ask for opinions on these forums when I faced that decision...also ask clanmates and friends in game.
As you can guess, about 1/2 said "pally is more pure tank and great against undead" and about 1/2 said "DA is more fun and great tank and has sl better attack skills".......and of course each 1/2 argued that the other was wrong.
I found a few more folks recommending DA over pally but now hear that C5 might assist pally more.

Both are tanks...both have pretty sad attack skills atm. Both are harder to solo so ya gotta love tanking to stick with em, I suppose.

My DA has been at lvl 51 for about 12 days as I solo'd him part time (but I'm almost to b-grade! woohoo!).

The patk on that sword of damascus (which I'm trying to gather stuff to craft so I'll be awhile) is pretty strong--with some tats (though I don't know much about those) I'm hoping his patk goes up a bit.

As I said, GL with decision. Others can tell you more than me (though I will say full plate will take you defensively completely through c-grade with no problem).
Yeah there has been about 50/50 in which to choose. But I'm not sure about DA though. I hardly know anything about the summon he has .. if it takes xp or anythin :P ..well I guess its a later desicion since the choice doesnt have to be made until I get to lvl 40 right ? ..well I have a lot to think about but I have gotten some great opinions now ^^ thx
the tank in my xp teams (clannie, think hes been present at 100% of XPing the last 9 lvls lol) is a pally with a 2hander
Hes used 2 hander all the way to 60, and it works just fine
he duoed with a bishop to 50 though, so i guess that helped a bit
damascus/focus and GreatSword/focus does roughly the same damage though, seeing as GS isnt top B grade while damascus is
so id propably aim for a dama after 52 if i were you, but its the most costly b grade weap, at least on my server

Hes used 2 hander all the way to 60, and it works just fine

Hmm, doesnt that mean he cant use shield stun and block skills ? ..I thought that was a big part of a tank. Well i have been wrong before. And about the damascus ..well I guess I'll have to start a bountyhunter then :P
I built my DA for pvp..yes yes i know low *** patk. but if you OE your yaksa and throw anger on. your tight [censored]. have had many ppl argue with me till we pvp'd then they understand. the 15% hp is nothing to a tank with high hp/cp and it gives you a +30 to patk. for b-grade I use a deadman's glory w/ anger and the only pvp I have lost is being ganked. have yet to have a melee class my lvl drop me. :p

just another note. i tank that uses a 2 hander is totally pointless. taking a beating is what they are good for. no shield means no stun and lower def with no change to damage. Tanks=no skills with 2 hander
