I wanted to post this question to everyone since i am now lv 17 on my way to 18 and getting closer to 20 by the hours and wanted to ask the differences between them both PvE and PvP wise and their importance in a clan ...
Its time for me to move up in ranks i hope everyone takes an interest in helping me along the way and providing me some clarity before i choose my class
PvE
Well basically, the cleric is "supposed" to be more party oriented, but if you equip some light armor and a powerful melee weapon, you can manage some soloing. Their spell disrupt undead is ok, but thats it, ok.
Wizard is like "bang, dead, bang, dead, bang, dead, rest" :P.
PvP
Well they can both do well, but wizards will do better most of the time, cause they do tonnes of damage. Clerics uhh, well ya you need light armor and a melee weapon to do almost anything in pvp.
Clan Wise
They are both very important in clans, cause clerics are ALWAYS welcome in a party, and mages are great for PvP and raids.
So the choice is yours, but they both require different play styles. (trust me, I've played almost every class in the game)
What Opacus says is basically spot on... except for the Cleric killing anything in PvP. Generally healers will keep people alive and in that are a great asset in field PvPs. Totally different playstyles. More than not, the healer will be one of the fist to die in any PvP, but can tip the scales dramatically depending on how it is played out.
