Wow thats a real musclecat there ..but i dont quite understand the lvl 78 part ..thought there were only 3 lvls for the panther.. do U lvl it as any other pet (ex. wolfs) ? and how about costs for summoning etc ?

At level 74 a Dark Avenger can learn: Summon Dark Panther 7(skill level) 109(MP Cost) 0(HP Cost) 1800000(SP Cost) Summons a Dark Panther capable of agile attacks. When summoning it, 4 Crystals: C Grade will be consumed. Afterwards, 4 additional crystals will be consumed at a regular interval for 4 times. 15% of acquired Exp will also be consumed.
And from my experience with summons....it is normally a couple levels higher then your character....
No you do not level summons that are skill based (Dark Panther, Souless, and the unicorns....and the rest)

Oh ..well that brings me to another question .. is the panther worth the -15% xp when soloing, or is it only for pvp usage?
Ok :) thx a lot for the great info ..I think I have a decent knowledge of the panther now ..seems like a powerful ally (though costly) which helps in PvE combat (probably in PvP as well) ..
Also seems like its not the best at surviving, so i guess hate is the solution if you dont want a black pile instead of a pet. Thats about the impression I got from this thread ..hope it is accurate :)
PVE with the panther is great even at the lower levels, as long as you can afford the crystals. PVP is also great and even better with the pet SS, if whoever you are attacking doesn't kill immidiately. For mass PVP it usually just gets rooted and ignored. This will change somewhat in C5 since, I believe, when you use hate on another player it's supposed to shift their target to you. I haven't had a chance to test it on the PTS yet so I'm not sure.
the +1 golem means at lvl 76 it has been overenchanted, doing so risks about 1-2.5% and an item worth potentially 5 million adena
solo speed is increased by about 50% with a 15% xp penalty
the crystal cost but especially the SS cost makes the thing imposible to run unless you have another source of making adena (i.e manor or market playing)
the panther servitor is like all servitors and is usually at or just above the level of the player's character.
For the DA the panther hits HARD (but a bit slow).
At lvl 52 (sorry, no screenshot) the DA has a patk with a +5 SLS of just over 300 (which is weak). The panther's patk is around 600!
As with the screen shot from the earlier post...I think my DA has about 2700 hitpoints and the kitty has about the same.
Pdef for the panther is nothing special (about 1/2 of the DA in good B-gear).
Here's the deal with Kitty for me..........
Not needed so much at lower levels (30 for instance). The kitty doesn't go on raids, he's not needed for pve and it's NOT worth the 15% exp he takes generally.
Once the grind slow-down began to take its toll on me after lvl 49 I could not have made 52 without that panther. It seems counter intuitive to say that something that drains 15% of exp helps you level faster but that's what happens! The patk of the DA even on green mobs is pretty weak so he just can't kill quick enough solo.
Up to this point I haven't found it TOO hard to have C-crystals for servitor summons. My warsmith occasionally blows up a piece of c-grade gear anyway so that ends up being my source of c-crystals (meaning they are very expensive! lol).
Oh, and with crystals that kitty stays with you for a reasonable amount of time.

ps. curiously my DA has been "jumped" and lost at pvp quite a few times over the past months (griefers, opportunists, permareds, alliance wars).....but not one single time has any1 ever attacked me when that kitty was with me.
1v1 w/ panther out and a weapon that does some damage (ex. yaksa w/anger or glory w/ agner) your a hard *** to take down. my DA was built for pvp. I use my panther alot solo or in party with healer. evern if you have to solo try and find someone that can buff you makes it much easier and faster. I have noticed though if the panther gets full buffs he tend to take agro even after hate. always watch his health. but i love my DA. almost dropped my 64 paladin buddy at 54. if you play him right you wont notice the 15% lose to your hp.
But all in all. I love my DA and I rule against other melee in pvp. and for a effective hamstring land. always carry around alittle sps.

poor little dude was zerked in that picture but its rare that he survives more than 2.1 mage nukes from an equal lvl nuker
on the + side im not even at 700 mdef myself so really he isnt that much worse
