Ok, today is my first day in L2. Level 11 warrior at time of writing and having my path planned to become a polearm expert. It was weird to see no one around the starting island except some botters at the entrance of the town killing epys and wolves.
I was wondering how to effectively make friends and get into clans? Each time i play a MMO, i tend to try to make friends but in L2, i hardly get to talk to someone. Feeling lonely in there.. hehe :(
Update : Question : The quest range stated in the journal for example Level 10 ~ 15. How to know at which level is this quest is safe to be done?
Dont worry, once you can leave your trusted home, you meet a lot more ppl. Ofcourse not all of them r nice, but there r some around :)

When you are out of starter town, you have to be friendly and social. I made about 7 friends my 3rd day. This is a great game, once you are 1337 (maybe like lvl 30+) you will find a nice clan. You may find a few friends raiding too
The best way to make friends IMO is to play your role to the best of ur abilites and being nice to everyone,even to griefers and inmature players..
if someone start cursing at u for whatever reason, just ignore them... theres a little trick called "Chat Block" that i love to use from time to time...
