Hi! The eternal question in L2 is "how do i afford my equipment ???"
I have heard that the best way to earn money is to create a dwarf (alt. 2) ..so the question is ..which class should I go for ? I mean which one is the best way to earn money ?
Warsmiths can craft, but Bountyhunters can collect items ..and I have no idea which is better for moneymaking ..please help me :)
Hi, welcome, BH won't make you much money before a high level and spoiling is slowing the xp process. I never understood the BH concept, as having for example an SH will let you kill mobs 10x faster therefore collecting 10x regular drops :p.
Your best bet is buying items and resselling in afk shops.

So dwarves are completely unnecessary for making money ? wow i have a lot to learn about this game :)
With a WS you can look forward to many hours of soloing while crying about the unfairness of the world. Crafting gets interesting around level 49 onwards, otherwise it's brig helms and some mat crafting, competing against all the 1a craft shops operating in Giran. I have almost full mat selection, and I can, on a very good night make maybe 100k AFK crafting. That's a pretty heavy 'might' though- there's been plenty of times when I've made zilch. You can make 'bulk' money by crafting items, and if you can find 3-4 people willing to make fp boots one evening, you're in luck. Otherwise, I've heard people say they make XXX million in an evening crafting A grade, but to be honest, I'm always slightly suspicious of that, but maybe that's because I'm not doing A-grade.
BH's fair better. I love playing my BH because every party is like Christmas. Spoil rates tend to be better than drop rates, so if you're hunting for an elusive recipe or part, you might have a better chance at getting it than with a lonely WS. BH's make their money from spoiling lots of a particular item. Of course, as a BH you share spoils with the party you're in, so even if you do get a 1m recipe, there's a chance it's the person after you who gets it. If you can solo, you're much better off.
I made both and it seems the best option if you have the time and a SE to hand.
Sad to say but you're probably better off with a BH. I do have a WS and a BH. Both are currently inactive except I craft items with the WS. However, the prices for AFK craft shops is so incredibly low that you can really use those shops for crafting and instead use the BH to farm the mats. That way you get mats + crafting with one alt. In fact, I use AFK shops to bulk craft mats (like metallic thread) that are MP costly relative to the value of the mat instead of using my WS (actually my WS walks over to the AFK shop and crafts the item instead of doing it himself LOL).
The only thing worth considering is how much time do you intend to put into your WS/BH? Consider spending that time with your main farming seeds with the manor system, buying/selling mats, and using AFK craft shops to make in-demand items. The reason I stopped leveling my WS/BH is that I can net close to 1m in adena/items per hour on my main and just buy the mats I need, even in the overpriced market, and still make a profit crafting items. Investing in your main is the best way to start making money. It will probably take you 50 to 100 hours to level a dwarf to the 5x levels. If you used that time to farm the right mobs with your main you would probably be better off.

Hmm so the dwarfs really are worthles ..well i still dont know what the manor system is :P
And im not sure , but do you mean that i should buy mats from the market with my main (not dwarf) and then go over to a craft shop and make a item ? Is that really profitable ?
Well I guess its time to start a new post since this info makes me wonder if I really should start a dwarf at all :P ..Next thread will be "can anyone explain wth manor system is, since the explanation just makes me dizzy" :)
However, a bounty hunter can spoil specific items (like recipes) from mobs if you know which to farm. Low level money grinding is a pain though, so consider the manor system with your main and learn to buy/sell on the market as soon as you can.

You buy "seeds" from the manor manager in a town. Then you "sow" the seeds on mobs near the town that are in the correct level range. Then you "harvest" the fruit from the mob. The sow/harvest operation is analagous to the spoil/sweep that a scavenger/bh does. You then turn in the "fruit" to the manor manager in exchange for items. This has to be done exactly at 8:06pm central time to have any hope of success (lots of farmers to compete with). You can make a lot doing this. As an example I have a level 32 Orc Raider I play around with that made 90 Ori Ore in about 2 hours. 90 x 25K = 2.25m at current market prices on Kain. So yes, you can make a lot with the manor. There are seeds available for all level ranges, and TBH you can still get good return on the seeds even if you and/or the mob are significantly outside the level requirement for the seed. The key is you want to sow the seeds on 4X HP mobs in the catacombs. You don't get a very good return if you sow the seeds on normal 1X HP mobs. Here is a trick ... You can sow the seeds on mobs that farmer groups in the catacombs are killing if you can't fight the mobs yourself solo. Just find a large group that isn't using shots to fight the mobs and in all likelihood you can sow your seeds without them noticing (if you know what I mean ;))
And im not sure , but do you mean that i should buy mats from the market with my main (not dwarf) and then go over to a craft shop and make a item ? Is that really profitable ?
Yes. You can make a lot of money this way. Even with mats / recipes being priced so high. Just look for the right ones. As an example, on Kain you can buy 100% BW robe recipes for 8m adena. Then you can buy all of the mats required to make the robe for maybe 2m more. Then you craft the robe and sell it for at least 14m for a nice profit of 4m. Sometimes it may take several days to get the mats and craft and several more to sell the item. Patience is the key. Have several items going at the same time to keep a good flow of adena. Take some time trolling the shops (both buy and sell) to figure out what stuff sells for then make it!
If you need a break from your main (like I have needed over time) create an alt that is a fun diversion. You'll definitely be able to make good adena with any alt if you use the manor - don't restrict yourself to the dwarves. And, if you can find an SE to duo with, the dwarves are a lot of fun (AoE pole in the catacombs), make decent XP, and can pull in a tidy profit (by adding spoiling or crafting to the manor income).
..Next thread will be "can anyone explain wth manor system is, since the explanation just makes me dizzy" :)
Ah, I guess you found the link as I was posting. The manor system allows you to buy seeds. You "plant" these on a mob by right-clicking the seed (or putting it in the hotbar and hitting the corresponding number) before or during the attack on said mob (you must have him targetted). Then when he dies, you use the Harvester (purchased from the same dude you get the seeds from) to gain the "fruit" off the mob. These fruits can be turned in for a material (animal bone, coal, varnish, etc.) depending on which type of seed you were using. Manor systems are controlled by whatever clan owns the castle in the area. Most rewards for fruits are of the "type 1" variety, although some castle owners reward with type 2.
Long-winded explanation short...by some seeds appropriate to your level, and a harvester and experiment on some mobs.
Lastly, know this; the turn in happens only 2 times each day. And the manor system only rewards (actually called "buying" in the dialog box) for a certain amount of fruits turned in. That means you are competing against everyone else using the manor system to be the first to cash in your fruits at each buy back time. Many complain they lose out again and again. Others maintain if you are diligent, you can get your seeds in fast enough to beat everyone else.
There are a ton of threads on the manor system. Just use the search function to look for some.
Thx alot guys ..I got a link to a site that gave me a good explanation of the manorsystem, and with this add-on information I think i will be alright :)
