Alright well not sure if others have had this issue, but would like some advice on this. Currently my toon is a LvL47 SK and I do believe that I've enough SPs in my sword/blunt skill as well as my weapon mastery skill.
While hunting Nos Lads yesterday I got very frustrated, I was able to bring them down, but each single Nos took me close to a little under a minute, the reason being that 1 out of every 2 swings, I was missing the target. I mean what's up with that!? And my only reason of staying there is because I get a little over 6k XP for each Nos.
Is it because their evasion skills are much higher than my attack/accuracy or what, but every other swing missing!? And mind you but I was fully buffed (including VR and Focus). There's got to be something.
i suggest finding mobs that will give you less XP per kill, but die easier. if it takes you 1 minute to kill a mob for 6k, i bet there are some greens out there who you can kill in about 20 sec that may give you say... 2k ea. most likely a bit more.
try to not focus on XP per kill, but rather XP per hour/buff cycle/etc...
Check the mobs details, you will see that many Lizardmen, including the Nos got a skill called "enhanced evasion". When I hunt the Lizardmen in the Field of Silence with my archer, I miss on every second shot, with accuracy toggle on. On a mob without that skill, I rarely miss at all.
However due to that skill, those mobs give a substantial exp-bonus, so it does seem fair to me.
Sounds like maybe your hunting Lite or dark red mobs to. It could explain the swings that miss, it happens alot of red mobs.
Try sticking to white & greens and you will get less XP per kill but you will be killing faster...
This way, you will prolly even see a augmentation in the XP you gain in a certain time frame.
ty all for the responses, will try going back to the crokian and dailon lads, they go down real quick and i get about 4k xp so i guess thats not bad. thx again.
I seem to recall these mobs being able to cast Ultimate Evasion, or a similar skill, which allows them to avoid most incoming attacks for a brief period of time.
That could explain their high evasion. They certainly aren't my favourite mobs, rather have the Crokians and Dalions instead, their animations are way better too.
High evasion mobs are freakin' annoying. I find the sound of my swords hitting mobs to be relaxing and to have several misses in a row raises my blood pressure.

That's especially so with an archer...having a miss there can be rather frustrating. Certainly when you crit the mob when he only has 2hp left or something..>.<
back when i was a noob the nos lads had the ultimate evasion skill
only used it like 90% of the time but when they did you could forget about hitting them
and yeah reroll a mage
even the m.resist mobs die quicker than what it takes us to kill a normal mob
