New C5 Website - Change

Ok, not sure if you are planning on changing the website for C5 but if you do could I make a suggestion about the design?

The menus on the left side to navigate the website are just to large and push everything to the right which makes for a very wide window. Could you make them smaller or move them to the top and make them pull down menus.... please

The current website is nice but the menus have always bugged me.


What do others think about it?

What screen resolution do you view the site at?

I concur with the opening poster, this is the only site I have to resize my browser window for so it looks stupid and takes up too much space :)

Very high resolution, meaning we don't surf the web in full screen but rather in a window, with other apps on the sides, like im chat windows and stuff... around 1000px should be enough for every website, preferably 900 or less in width.

I'm browsing in 1024x768 and it doesn't bother me much. The only time I even notice is when some posts a link that causes side scrolling.

1024 x 768 standard CRT monitor

The other thing is I like to have a lot of posts at one time so when I scroll down there is a lot of dead space to the left.

Moving the menus to the top would help a lot IMHO.

We are not planning on re-designing the official web site for Chronicle 5, but I will pass along the menu feedback. :) Thank you!

Well, personally, the smaller the grafics the better, I make my windows as small as possible.
It allows me to monitor better stuff from work and *coughs* is less visible to bosses. It's also a personal mania to never do anything in full screen.

But since I have other pages that are the exact same size... changes in this one won´t make a difference. Sad but true...
