Dont want to make this a grief post but hey it is what it is.
First time in months I was able to buy my DC helm the other day. Finally tried to do some leveling after months of spending time playing the market to afford the helm.
I get griefed by farmer/bot named smallTDemon in the Ancient Battlegrounds area on BARTZ, whos here ALL the time practically running massive trains with his 3 bot crew killing them repeatedly - rinse repeat. I didn't see them today so I decided to stick around...but they show up later.
SmallTDemon then constantly tries to train this poor Sorcerer who cant cast slow, cancel, whatever because for some **** reason we are not allowed to even if we hold the ALT key down. So this poor sorcerer cant do anything. We are slow so we really can't outrun the mobs...
So I get frustrated to the point I just kill smallTDemon on one of his 24/7 runs. Then I try to exit the game but I can't. Then out of nowhere this orc, I guess its his friend, jumps out from nowhere (TheGreatOrc - character name) and spam nukes me. I think he was on his sub as a SS. I was RED at the time.
Then the unbelievable happened. I dropped my +15 lance. If I can't get this back, I have to say its been swell knowing you all because I am leaving this game. Nothing is worth this kind of grief and this kind of grief is what is driving the game into the gutter.
I've already petitioned and sent it to support to find out why I couldn't log out of the game afterwards. At this point Im just really dissappointed with the way NCSOFT has treated their honest player base in favor of farmer/bots.
I'll update this again tommorow after I find out what happens. But I think I already know that NCSOFT won't do a [censored] about it. I'll update this later...

First of all, you likely could not log out cause of the "were just fighting rule, that forces you to stay out of fights a couple seconds, before you can log off."
From there I see two possible scenarios:
#1: You have 1-5 PKs. In that case, dropping your weapon was a bug and you should get your weapon back.
#2: You have 6 or more PKs. Then dropping your weapon is an absolute normal game effect, that can happen, but does not always happen. There is no bug involved here.
yep I had more than 5pks. I never did the sin eater quest since it was introduced way back when...was it c3 or c4?
I waited a couple seconds for sure before I tried logging out. Still wouldn't let me.
The funny and weird part was that when this orc sub SS was attacking me he nuked me like 30x but didnt do any damage to me then all of a sudden toward the end he was doing massive damage? I really dont get it. His early nukes were hitting for 1. And when i tried to nuke or sleep him or just do anything I got the "Incorrect Target" message and I know I had him clearly targetted.
Just the whole thing felt really wrong. Anyway like I said, if NCSOFT chooses in favor of the farmers so be it. They will be short 1 honest player less this coming week.

It'd take a real 1st calss no.Ob to go red past 5 pks with a +15 lance...
Also why didn't you trade that +15 lance for a +13 and money so you can buy 2 DC helms ?
And btw how can one struggling for adena cross a +15 lance in the first place ?

Yes, but you were the evil PKer and he was just some innocent Orc. He was white, attacking a red, so he stayed white. That automatically makes all non-damage spell not working. And if you did not press CTRL to your damage spells, you would also get the incorrect target message, as you cannot just cast a damage spell on a white without the security turned off (by pressing the key).
Sorry, but I can see no bug in your description, just a person, who is angry, cause his own ignorance of the game mechanics made him loose a very expansive item.
I cannot say, that I got any sympathy for your case, as you should have known better.

I must say that if ure numbnut enough to go red on a bot when ure over 5 pk´s and got a +15 lance on u well u deserve to be punished.

You went red with over 5 pks, you can and did drop your weapon.
So you aint gettin it back.

I COMPLETELY understand why he went red. Players police the game themselves my butt. Mess with the BOTS BOTS BOTS BOTS and you suffer BAD! Every change to the game makes it HARDER to police it ourselves.
For the few seconds between killing that CHEATER and getting dropped, I bet he felt great.
Just delete all of this and pretend there is not a problem.
But can ban them from the forums...and please do. Who the hell cares if you're gonna act like a child? They gave us an anti farmer tool, sin eatter and a 5 pk region of no drops. It didn't used to be that way, but now it's fixed. So there is no excuse for this type of stupidity.
People are too worried about the boards,making money, and grinding they seem to forget to learn the pvp/pk part. Your own fault on this and more than likely the orc casted sleep or some other debuff on you so you couldnt log.

a few things i need to say:
1: if you knew that place was constantly ganked for loot, why did you go?
2: youre a sorceror in DC. you should have AWESOME cast speed if youve got an Acumen weapon. but you don't cause you have a ... Lance? even +15 maybe it has decent Matk, but mister, youll need acumen3 and some dances before you can get some good hits in. pvp for magic users always boils down to speed. if youre not tattooed up the yingyang with Wit and Int, youre a fool and deserve to loose what you got.
3: you PK'd and went red on a ganker. this should be the number one thing everyone should know NOT to do. every griefer/ganker has at least 2 alts and many friends. mess with one, youve got a sticky situation. as previously posted, if youre going to go red, make FOR **** SURE you have BSOE handy.
i will admit, +15 lance is a hard thing to loose, but man, you spent too much time on your butt buying and selling, and not enough time honing your pvp skills.
I am sorry the OP has no excuse for not doign a sin eater. With dc robes and a +15 lance matk (180 matk, with is better btw then a som +6) you shoudl have been able to knock out 1 sin eater's worth of lvling in about 30 minutes. I hold no love for ppl to stupid to take adavnatage of things liek the sineater. Recently during a pvp incident 3 of our guild went red. 1 dropped his dc gloves 1 dropped his arcana helm the other dropped nothing. Guess which one had done the sineater that day.
Well dude let me giv eyou this advise
sell yoru dc robes
buy avadon (better for pve anyway no - to men)
buy a som 80-120 mil depending on server
maybe save your money or gete acumen on the blade depending on your server prices.
WORK OFF YOUR PKS
then worry about getting the dc set again
+15 lance (180 matk, with is better btw then a som +6)
for pve, i would consider the statemnt half true. for pvp, youve gone way off base man.
for nukers, the only way to consistently pvp is with speed. +6 SOM with ACUMEN would have far exceeded the +15 lance and drastically tipped the scales of his encounter with the griefer.
had he sold it and bought a +6som w/ acumen, or +20 homu with acumen, he would have been ganked faster, but would have still won.
