All Pole weops attck multiple mobs. Keep in mind tho unless you accualy have polearm masterys you will only attck 4 mobs max at a time.

just a matter of convincing the mobs to stand together now ;)

ya the key is positioning. I cant tell you how many times ive had mobs appear to be grouped while I was being hit by all of them, and only was hitting one.

then turn around and have mobs spaced even further apart thinking I wont get them all in one hit and see myself hitting all of them. Ive given up trying to position myself after attacking, but I do try to position myself before I land the first blow if I see other mobs in the area that will go for me.

I leveled my artisan with a glaive (from clan) cause that's what they had to give me and dwarf can learn skill masteries for a pole.
That taught me more about positioning and manuever in this game than anything else.

It doesn't always work to position the mobs (try on alligator island for a hoot!--with a healer and other dd you can pull 7-8 croakian lads/warriors with no problem) but when it does it's like cutting wheat! Nothing compares in melee to that moment when all 3 or 4 (or 5 :))mobs dissappear at the same time!
