Setup for SE

I plan on going SE now that I have hit 20. Whats the best setup for a lvl 20 SO. Should I go with staff of life and knowledge set or dual 107's and light armor? I am trying to level as fast as possible to 40. I solo 99% of the time due to connectivity issues and lag so raids and partying are not part of my gameplay for at least for 3 more months.

If u plan to solo i think 107s and a light armour would be best.

I soloed mine to 30 in devotion set and top NG staff using windstrike and disrupt undead :p

I'd say that for those SO levels some kind of mage set up is best for soloing. You don't have a high melee damage output so light armour and duals will mean slower levelling as well as healing than robes and a staff....I used devotion then mithril and staff of life myself.

Your spells still do decent damage pre class change to SE even if not as much as real mages. The way I look at it is until they start failing more often than they land think of yourself as an underpowered mage with a few better buffs and heals than they get.

I used 107 duals and the mithril robe set, but I also spammed DSS and B Dsps too because she was a twink.

I am leaning toward the duals a bit. I have a pretty much endless supply of DSS and DBSPS. I dont have the patience not to use them. I guess I will probably get 107's and the staff of life and see which I like best.

Just remember that IF you carry both with you while you check them out and you die you can drop the one in your inventory at the time.

Oh yea I cant forget that. I average about 3 lag deaths per hour. At the rate I am going I should be around 40 some time around mid-December :)

Ouch :) Around 25-30 I did the monster eyes east of Dion, great exp.. one windstrike and a few wacks for very good exp.
