OMG!!! Sieghardt is Being Invaded by . . Players

Just wanted to post a warm welcome to the 60-80+ players making a move from Devianne to Sieghardt. You'll find the newbie areas to your liking - as a server we've been at war with the professional gamers for quite some time; as a result I'm sure that your first impression will be grand. As long as the regular players of Sieghardt can controll their joy of seeing new people and not PK you too much but from what I've read on the unmentionable forums it's been mostly help that you've been getting - but Sieghardt has its miscreants as any server does but I understand that you've taken alot of gear from red players ;)

Anyone else wanting to make the move to a welcoming server now it a good chance :D these 'new' Sieghardians are pretty cool, I've meet a few of them.

So W E L C O M E and enjoy your leveling :-) It's been less than a week for most and almost all are already in D grade killing raid bosses.

/Rolls out the red carpet for the new homesteaders
I only think one of them is cool, the rest just goes red on lowbie alts themselves.

It's not the Sieghardts who will start pk'ing on them...its them who just don't know anything about Sieghardt and think they can just do it the Devianne-way here. Well guess what people, You are in for quite a surprise in my opinion if you continue playing this way.
They have already received a taste because A and S graders start to go red on them...that would not have happened if they played differently.

/puts hair in the neck, turns around and continues playing with the clan
A week to get to D-grade.... for experienced players..... ???
Well if they are THAT experienced, I would have thought they hit the D-grade much quicker.
If they had just a little contact/Network on the server they could be pwr-lvled even by using Mech.golems.
I know me and two friends, did pwr-lvl two toons to lvl40 and 35 in less then 10 hours.
They didnt change servers, they are just playing there when they are bored.
Our first had D Grade by the third day I believe. If people wanted PL, I'm sure they'd not do it with a mech golem of all the silly things to do it with. ;)

As for going red: We're all in a relaxed mood (although I personally haven't had any PvP yet), so some are picking fights. I'm a bit disconnected from everyone else because I've been away over the weekend, but I honestly think the loss would be with any A or S-Grader going red on a D Grader, not the other way around. Experience and gear at 20 are fast after all.

PS: Aggressive lowbie PvP is not the Devianne way - it's standard proceeding on our server, just as on others, to roll over and wait for power. Sad, sad.

I'll have to say being PvPed by someone higher level, if at all, will only help this frail thing live longer.
dgrade by 3 days isnt good

with noobie buffs i can go 1 - 25 in 16 hours as an archer dagger or nuker and thats without twinking my char and just running the hugely money making DE quests you easily make 60 - 90k an hour doing them if you know what your doing.

personally i see it as just a big waste of time btw i hope sieghardt realizes 99% of them arent playing sieghardt as their main server they are just playing it to kill time till c5 so please dont think anything like your getting 80 new people i guarentee 50% of them will be gone when they need to get cgrade and starts to get hard to get gear and level legitly as they put it.

Its just not efficent to level in 9 person groups after level 40 for some classes. Honestly if i wanted to play like i was back in prelude again i will just quit instead lol
By your own numbers, that'll be 3 days to get D Grade for people who have RL obligations - iuno about you, I can't usually make sixteen hours of time to play L2, even when I'm off school.

Nobody thinks anyone rerolled to Sieghardt (if someone wanted to make a legit reroll, there are likely better servers to do so), I hope.

That aside though - it's not been a waste at all, it was quite fun so far - so far that I'm thinking of dumping Devianne until Lloth gets back and going to another server to start fresh and really enjoy myself again.
Yes I know "the mechanical golem" is far from the best way to do power leveling, but the fact is that its the only way we have.
None of our WS have big boom and we dont have any summoners with the nice litttle unicorn :)
So lvling to chars from 1-40 and 1-35 in a little less then 10 hours(total for both chars) seems quite alright for our little clan :)
and an other notice.... We do NOT power lvl everyone, because we feel that ppl shall learn the game from the bottom and up.
We do how ever let them borrow some of our clan D/C-grade items.
The problem with power leveling a new player from 1-40 in a very short time, is that the player will not have the fundings to supply the C-grade equipment.
So basicly we only power level "slave chars" such as SE, PP, Bishops and such. which is usually used by all in clan and boxed with players.
Boxed chars dosent need high class equipments all the time, my PP lvl60 did run around in Banana suite for a looong time, and has just recently got his Karmian set.
I like the newbie buffs
To OP: Thank you Thank you.

... the rest just goes red on lowbie alts themselves.

erm...that would be me. Appart from the lowbie alts part, those lowbie alts your talking about is higher level than me.
And im usually fighting out of my league.
- If it can move it can be hit.
I personally dont mind getting pk'ed either. All adds a bit tension and fun to the game.

note: I dont speak for all of us tho =)
o_O How does an elven oracle go red on people? I must have the details on this later!
4 pks so far, working on the 5th
All have been live active players, no bots are getting my pks.

edit: uhum... *cough*, I try to get them while i still can. most have been at noobie village, some outside giran. Windstrike still lands once in a while on, up to, c grade people.

o_O How does an elven oracle go red on people? I must have the details on this later!

Our Elven Elder stands 24/9 in her stats at lvl 41...don't be so surprised that a "so called class that cannot pvp" CAN pvp.
Oh, I'm not saying they can't PvP - I'm wondering who on earth wouldn't flag back against an EE. :)
THis so called 100% legit clan makes me laugh. First they say they want to do everything legit. But as soon as they get on there they start taking donations and gear given to them, then start making excuses that thats not against thier rules. Yes you may not be buying your adena or toons. But on live servers and already have D grade in early 20's. Definatley isnt beeing done without outside assistance. So it basically is a joke already and will become old fast. Even on PTS with 10x drop rates you won't have top D in early 20's. So this big experiment has failed. But you all have fun on Sig.

I am glad someone from Devianne dares to say that.

I'll blow your bubble.

L2 is a MMORPG. (it is, believe me)

L2 is based on social interactions.

If due to big social skills, (read charisma) ppl get helped and geared it is by no mean a smaller accomplisment than grinding its way solo.

Moreover, if you follow your reasoning to its extremity you'll see how it's flawed and absurd.
If you're LFG and find a group. You're getting helped ! Ppl help you level and get adena !!!! So you're not Legit ?

Even in prelude, ppl were helping each other. It's just fair. Because some ppl have more time than others and some are more kind than others.
Some ppl need to buy a brain. There's a clear barrier between hardcore and masochism.
I'm personally not very happy with the donations, but the clan is a diverse bunch.

As for...

You're joking, right? Anyone who has half a hand at the manor can make D Grade armour and a 1.6mil store weapon by twenty, and then more if they're willing to play the market. We have at least three people who can hand in the manor/buy seeds with relatively high reliability (excluding me, messing around on Lionna/IRL too much ^^).

IMO if you can't manage D by 20, you might as well start looking for a supportive clan, quit or ebay - the challenge is never that easy again for any other grade.

In the defense of this: We originally considered not to sell on the open market at all, but there were only two or three people in favour of that much challenge.
First off there is no bubble to burst sorry to disappoint you.

Yes this is true it is a MMORG and people are suppose to help each other. That is the point of a MMORG. Here is the point im making though if you want to compare it too prelude. Knowone in prelude had lvl 60+ outside buffs for raids. Very few if any were given top D grade and OE'd++++ weps at lvl 20. Yes the game has changed. But if you call asking for donations of top NG gear and D grade gear 100% legit than ok you call it that.

I think it's cool what you guys are doing buy going to another server for some fun starting over. Setting aside alot of animosity towards fellow Dev players and playing together on another server. It sounds like fun starting from 1 again and much easier when you have multiple players at the same lvls with the same goals. It's just not 100% legit as in doing it yourself with the players from devianne. Once you started accepting gear and adena (lots of adena for low lvls) that ended.

Don't get me wrong I dont have any issues with whAt you guys are doing. I guess I just have a different definition of 100% legit. To me this game the way it is can never ever be played 100% legit. On reason is if you didn't get everything you have from crafting it yourself or or drops you dont know where it came from. The way this game is now almost nothing is totaly legit just to many cheats out there.

So calling it a new beggining or something like that would have been more appropriate than calling it the 100% legit Clan.

IMO if you can't manage D by 20, you might as well start looking for a supportive clan, quit or ebay - the challenge is never that easy again for any other grade.

yes, red coda is where its at. this lvl 15 seed is is one of the best for making money, so much so that its worth it to keep a toon in this range just for manor. my highest level on teon is 20, and he had about 2 mil before i rerolled servers (my biggest reason for rerolling was becasue the manor lords stopped setting up the manor). if your style of play does not allow you to make money in the 1-21 range, with all the quests and noob buffs, there is no way you can afford 40+ legit.

First off there is no bubble to burst sorry to disappoint you.

There was. A bubble of insanity.
See it or not.

Strange that. On my tank there I had a SoR and Brig top/bottoms by 19. By 22 I had a Brig Shield, Boots of Power and Rip Gauntlets, by 26 a Helmet, and Elven Jewelry. Oh, and my top NG set in my warehouse. Getting D gear is simple. None of that with outside help too.
hmm...d grade gear....I went from 20 to 40 with Divine Tome (are those still in the game). For armor, I had an mithril tunic and stockings. I remember shouting WTB elven mithril gloves 500k. lol All of that was given to me by a friend. Does that mean I am not a legit play? Really people, that is what friends in the game are for! Now, from working together...I have plus'd up DC robes, plus'd up majestic jewlry and a plus 5 SOM. The bottom line is this...it is just good smart play to build with friends!
LOL if everyone played for 16 hours straight I bet they could go from 1-25 as well. People have what we call "real lifes" the game isn't everything to them. :)
half those devianne people who came over from devianne play more then that in streches its why they are 78/76 on devianne some of them.

they brag about playing 20 - 28 hours straight sleeping for 6 hours and doing it again.

People have what we call "real lifes" the game isn't everything to them. :)

Prove it !
Give us names !

Sorry but I dont believe you got all that without outside help. SO your saying you crafted all that or bought in from the NPC. Also in this nice little experiment an alt is outside help.

500k must have been C2 or early C3. Ok everyone listen getting help from friends and clan mates doesnt mean your not legit, it's what this game is built on. All these people bragging about this 100% legit clan on another server is all I was talking about. All im saying is as long as adena is sold on the internet, famers dominate all cats and necros and half the hunting grounds, Raid boss farmers dominte the gear markets there is no such thing as 100% legit and dont try and brag that you are. You may have never done anything wrong but everything in the economy at one time or another has come from those sources.

Back in C2 and early C3 it was much easier to get D grade by 20 but you had to know what you were doing and how to make the adena. Now it almost 3x as hard to make enough adena for top D grade armor just because of the market.
I do thats why I have been playing for 2 years and only lvl 66 and took me almost 2 months to get from 65 to 66.
I have been playing from open beta. And i find it ten times easier to make money now than ..then. All is basicly because, I know now how to make money, when i previously didnt.

And yes, we are 100% legit.
Kruken, if you consider selling things on the open market legit, a top store D Grade weapon and armour by 20 are more than just possible. You haven't been on a server other than Devianne and started from scratch in a while, so just take the word of those who have done it for it.

I've been in C3, and I must say: There is no difference in earning your first cash in C3 and C4, with the sole difference that, much like Molte explained, I now know what I'm doing.
Nobody's spending 20-28 hours on the sieg thing though, it's just for fun after all. I'm more serious about my Lionna alt, and the only reason to level that up is to try on pretty armours and (possibly, in the far future) hunt with some old friends.

ETA: Sorry for the double post. bleh.

L2 is a MMOG.

Corrected that for you.

Anyways, to the Devianne peeps, one of my friends who donated to you guys isn't going to be so thrilled once he realizes you guys aren't actually moving servers.
We never claimed to be, did we? It was set out like this from the start, or so I think. It's been a pretty chaotic effort, maybe some people are moving over. <shrug>

kruken came from teon in mid c3 to come play with some irl friends in WO. He abandoned his 60 glad over there and came here. Playing market is a great way to make money to get his full agrade took him almost 2 months of sitting in town buying selling and crafting. If he was grinding durning that time he would probably easily been 70+

with that being said there is a big difference between playing the market and begging for stuff like the people on sieghardt are doing and i find it pathetic. Any noob that comes up to me devianne and begs for help i just laugh at them and tell them to earn it like i did. No hands outs from me. I had to earn it you should have to.
Thank you for the generalisation. Most of the clan were manoring or raiding for their gear, but without having gone there you obviously don't know this.

If he levelled a lowbie in C3 without outside support, I don't know how someone with his money-making skill can doubt top D at 20.
it wasnt a generalzation but anyone wanting to be considered legit beging for adena or gear i find ironic and pathetic lol

At least 15 of those people are in those sieghardt clans and yes i was there but if i said who my toon name was i probably wouldnt be able to come along by some of those people.

Thank you for the generalisation. Most of the clan were manoring or raiding for their gear, but without having gone there you obviously don't know this.

Unfortunatley generalisation get thrown around alot in this game. One or two people can ruin it for the hole clan/group. A few people begging for handouts ruins it for the hole project.

When I first started in C2 on my Glad I freaked out when I found out a brig helm was 500k, or when I found Elvin mith gloves on the ground and found out they sold for 300k. I know all of us would love to see those prices again.

I didnt know how to play the market or all the ways to make adena that I know now. I was in dion 1 day and noticed a dwarph with a funny name selling steel for 2000 adena. I remembered someone buying it in Gludio for 2700. I made enough bying and selling running back and for between the 2 cities that day to get my brig helm. That was my first experience in playing the market. But at the time still being the newb when I was done grinding for the day I logged off.

As my nooby warrior continued to grind away and C3 came out I finaly got a Tarbar at lvl 32. I made enough on the market and with help from clannies and a Katana drop to get full plate and duel Kats at lvl 44. I was 53 When the 4th of July event came out last year. I was on vacation and camped Gludio and all the newb towns at every spawn (Man I loved that event). Anyway I made enough off that event for BW heavy all three tats and tsu*tsu +4 and still had about 10mil left. I would have never quit except that soon after that my clan disolved which was the 3rd clan in about 2 months.

Besides I got tired of not being able to speak to anyone 60% of the time and getting ptfpwned 98% of the time lol.

That's correct, I'll come down to the lowbie area and kick your [censored].

***edit***
guess I can ^^ actually though, any gear that I've donated is worth it - only a few low level trinkets and 500k to help the clan leader. It's all fun and games and nothing serious :-)

Except the -_- kicking I'm going to deliver with my SH :-) hah!

I actually created this thread to advertise the efforts of some of the Dev people, they're pretty cool for the most part. It's good to have 'new' people on the server creating a stir. So, thanks for the stir and hope the fun continues.
