... Go here. (http://www.lineageradio.com/)

Then on the right hand side there are two black boxes. The bottom one is titled ">Download Lineage II now" and the top one is labeled ">Tune into LineageRadio.com".

At the bottom of the top box, but above the "Download box" is some text labeled "Windows Media Player" with two links below, a "High Badwidth" and a "Low Bandwidth" link. The links aren't highlighted nor do they stand out greatly, but if you click either link WMP will open and connect to the radio stream. (Bad design...)

Bingo! Your now listening to Lineage Radio!
Or just listen using Itunes. There's a link for that as well.
Maybe you should do it.

Maybe you should do it.

Well, actually that is a thought. "if you want something right you have to do it yourself" idea.

However, if shonen is the guy who just played the Stepen Lynch then thumbs up on the song selection. However I'm not a fan of the "banter". seems like a nice guy though. But the banter is a bit forced. sorry.

I don't mind the music though. Some of it is pretty good. Wish I knew what I was listening to. Had I not recognized Stephen Lynch I wouldn't have known what it was.

request: "I wish I knew what I was listening to."

Also, I don' see why you can't go from a fast song to a slow song. Many times, in larger works, you will have a lot of fast/slow/fast/slow in order to truly appreciate the "sense" of what each section offers.

If it is a lot of slow it becomes tedious and if it is fast, fast, fast it then becomes a wash of static. Maybe 2 fast one slow or something like that.
I mean that in all seriousness too, isn't it volunteer or something?

You are absolutely right.

I do wonder though, with the prevalence of any type of mulitmedia, if audiences just naturally expect "more" even if it is not warranted.

With the ability to make "podcasts", make your own CD's, Garage Band, Digital Editing, Dj'ing you name it, it seems that more and more people can not only make their own content but can also disseminate it to an audience that can span the globe.

Therefore, especially with the use of the internet, we as the audience can turn "quicker" than ever in order to find something that we like. Because of this, shows, music, movies seem to "need" to always catch our attention otherwise we can just as easily find something else.

I wonder if anyone really remembers the days when there weren't any remote controls and you had to get up, go to the tv, turn the dial (which was hard to turn by the way... you would get a solid "chunk" sound every time) in order to find anything of value.

So yeah, you are right Elllie... since this is volunteer and any one of us could be on the hot seat, maybe we need to just approach this as if we are at a party and one of our friends is up there spinning records and entertaining.

So good point.

Also, you know what, the more I listen, I realize that I'm actually enjoying myself. Whether I like the song or not. Why? Becuase there is not a lot of that crap you get from regular radio (I never listen to the radio, excpet NPR, because it's just nonsense upon nonsense. I want music when I want it, not endless chatter that means nothing and products being shoved down my throat.

let me put this as succinctly and easily as i know how; lineage radio is AMATEUR radio, not run by any professional people or producers.

you want pro radio, go listen to the one in your car.

lineage radio contains NO commercials, or ads, nor does it require your donation to continue running. if you cannot appreciate how invaluable and influential lineage radio (and MMO radio in general) is, you need to start taking your fat caboose out to get a job and see how cruel the rest of the world is.

i find lineage radio a welcome addition to the community, and a very well run radio station. i give it a :trophy:
I applied for a DJ spot...been told many times I should be in radio. Have done radio spots for my old band. But they never called me for an audition like the email I got said. First night I logged on....I was like "Ugggg, this is the best they could get?" Maybe I'll make an aircheck mp3 and send it in.

Although, I think having to do this....might cut into my playing time :P
A welcome addition to the community would be banning everyone botting in the catacombs.
Oh geez don't derail the thread with that.
Long live LineageRadio! This is almost enough reason to come back to the game in itself, it's so cosy relaxing with some grinding and clan chats, while hearing some ex-Kain player talking about famous Kain players inbetween the "not totally sucky" music selection...

I love it! Keep up the good work, seriously, this is a truly great effort by everyone involved!
The music selection is pretty good and while the DJs are a little wanting on the personality side, they are trying their bes and get an A for effort. I could do with less of the shouts of "So and so is a nubzr who just got pwned" though. More music less of the kiddies :).
I have to say, now Ive got it working, that the Djs arent that bad.......come on give em a break and I think Shonen sounds really sweet. Heck, he answered several of my msn messages, what a sweetie.
I would LOVE a job on there, English accent, American men are always saying......'I love your accent'.....so come on L2 Radio.......Gissa Job
:)

Actually, I want to know who the woman was on Sunday, around 12:30 pm.

I thought she was great. Very distinctive, calling people "Hun". ... a lot of personality.
I would try my hand at being a DJ. But I dont like to talk much. Makes my wife crazy sometimes. But I could defiently put up some sweet grind music. NO REQUEST! :)
If that's 12:30 eastern I don't think I cought enough of her show, but if I'm thinking of the right person then I found her bland. Don't know why. Maybe I need to listen to the station more :P.

Yeah... eastern. She wasn't a dynamo or anything, but if you kept listening you really got a sense of a "real person" who was just doing this because it was fun.

I don't know, I just liked that.
*cough* stalker *cough*
I like the DJ's, there doing it for nothing other then the experiance, and there playing good music. OP, go miff yourself /hate
So, OP: Define cool?

I have 533 people who tuned in (setting the record for listeners, breaking the record for the Mistryl interview) that said I'm doing a **** good job.

Yep. 533.

Thank you, have a nice day.

Dude, don't sweat the OP. Look at his name. That's all he's done since he signed onto the forums.
