apprentice spell book

im a dark elf mystic,,,bought a apprentice spell book,,,but dont know what to do with it:( atm im just beating mobs round side of head with it,,would anybody mind explaining to me the purpose of having it please..............thanks

it raises ure matc, witch is what gives ure spells higher dmg.
as a mage u need to go into ure skill window and drag a spell to the hotbar "the F-Buttons" and then just target a mob and click the spell, u will notice that u do more dmg with that book on u than without it.

thanks,,,does it make any difference wether im holding the book when casting or just aslong as its it my inventory,,,,,i just hope i dont drop it,,,thing cost 16k

i got it,,,,noticing the difference aswell thanks

Needs to be equipped. The book is a 'weapon' that needs to be used to be effective. Nothing in your inventory will help you to do damage or resist it. Everything needs to be equipped to help your stats or damage.

Incidentally however, there is more chance to drop your 'weapon' if it is in your inventory than if it is equipped...
