Where, exactly, did you see these 0% taxes, though?
Gludio at 15% and Gludin 15%.
For the few new folks on the server I'd just like to say a great big, sarcastic "thanks" to whomever owns those.
Granted there aren't many of us but jeesh!
Sly, when are people suppose to learn? Do you have any pointers for that castles' lord? They have only had it for a few days. Do they get an adjustment period? I'm pretty sure this is their first go around with it.
Gratz to the fantistiques...Hopefully, they will get the hang of the tax system...before the next siege...which means potential new owners...I do however agree with sly's point... Zeemr did an awesome job on taxes.
What's the problem with you guys? ;)
Just leave us do what we can and what we want. It's none of your business :)
It's the first time we got a castle. We're doing our best for everything. To be honest, i'm quite glad about us.
We're succeeding in all our plans, and really enjoy that :P
Of course we're not perfect. More unperfect in ennemies' eyes anyway ;)
How this works is since you won the seige you get to do anything you want.
Since I have new toons and am new to the server I get to complain that you set the towns I use at 15%.
Imo it's not a very nice thing to do.
Whether you have reasons or not!
You want 'em at 15% you should expect some criticism.
I tottaly agree with you. And that's why Knagart and Docoesse, our leaders, put lowest tax. Gludio, Gludin areas (for new toons) are now at 12% tax instead of 15% as the other castles. ;)
Well... there is 10% tax more in every town anyway. As i know, it's Aden tax :/
wrong gludio has a base tax of 15% so does dion gludin.
Oren has a base tax of 10% so does heine aden and goddard
hunter's village and florham have base tax of 20%
Giran has a base tax of 5%
so 15% tax rate in giran = 20%
15% tax rate in (oren aden heine goddard) = 25%
15% tax rate in (gludio dion gludin) = 30%
15% tax rate in (aden {hv} dion {florham}) = 35%
now are you getting it you mental midgets?
12% in gludio = 27% which is still 7% higher then giran. You have to set your tax rate like zeemr had it at 5% to be equal to prices in giran.
Btw rune is the cheapest right now because it has a 5% base tax like giran but no castle tax. Orc and dwarf villages only have the base tax of 15% since shuttengart isnt in game yet still making them cheaper then giran.
lol people who cant run a castle and have no idea how to run one shouldnt siege.
BTW aden has no bearing on the base taxes.... where the hell did you learn to play this game. Learn economics you can charge whatever you want but your not going to get anyone to buy from you. Cheaper to go to DE or LE village still 2% cheaper or Giran 7% or Orc/Dwarf village 12% cheaper or rune 17% cheaper.
the only real thing you will sell in bulk is soul ore/spirit ore
cheaper to port gludio from dion then dion to giran so crafters would go to gludio over giran if the soul ore is same or cheaper. high tax rate you might get a million a week which wont cover your seeds or any repairs to the castle.
Ideally you want to strike a balance between how much you spend and how much you make. Aden Giran Goddard Rune make a lot because they are high traffic areas. Dion the same also. Gludio has low traffic so you have to convince people to shop with you over other towns.
Of course my way of looking at economy and movements and taxes is currently under revision for c5 since port costs port paths and new castles are going have an effect on the economy as well.
PS it is also why Gludio Oren and Heine are castles no one goes nuts fighting over. Die 2 or 3 times and call it a day, its what we did at gludio when you guys took it. We could held onto to the castle or at least made it take a lot longer to make it close but zeemr and the rest of us didnt feel it was worth the xp loss at our higher levels for the castle.
When people go as far as Gludio, they go as far as Dorftown for the further drop, or take the boat to Rune for free/use CWH with an alt from Dwarftown or Rune to get the cheap ore.
No matter what you do, you won't influence what kind of stuff people buy in Gludio.
well...
As i know (yeah, i say that often ^^) we make enough money with the castle to assume charges and what we need.
You don't have to justify why you didn't fight more on the siege.
I'm not here to flame. I'm just happy and proud we got that castle.
Taxes are ok, money is ok, castle is ok, clan is ok. :)

THis will change even more if some of the changes from the Korean PTS translation make it to live server. In that patch you can pick up stuff from freight from any town. This means people will have an alt in the town with the cheapest stores and frieght everything. Making the GK fee's irelevent.
