After 2 days (about 12 hours of non-consecutive play) I'm at lvl 19, was gifted both the good NG I'm wearing, a really good NG weapon, some supplies, and the mithril set I'll wear next, have almost 550k in the warehouse plus mats (30 animal bones--woot).
It was really, really cool to see real players in DE starter area, in gludin, Gludio actually packed d/t seige, and of course Dion (only places I've visited thus far).
Your economy is a bit more rational than Lionna (you may find that hard to believe but it is).

Actually except for "checking in" I haven't really done anything on Lionna for a week.
Devianne seems like a good place to play for awhile.
My DE mystic is in d-grade at lvl 21, my dwarf is lvl 12, I went ahead and leveled a human mystic to lvl 8, and have a light elf who may become an archer at lvl 10....all in this last week.
I'll be concentrating on the DE dark wiz primarily since low d-grade has been purchased.
Btw--drops seems WAY different on this server!!!!
I got a cestus full drop in Spider's nest, 2 clubs on alt on Talking Island and a cedar staff (big toads and werewolves I believe--might have been an orc in there somewhere too). I got 2 apprentice staffs, too--which are like the clubs (really cheap)
Although the clubs are cheap I've been surprised to get 6 full weapon drops of some kind in a week on low toons! I also got a leather tunic full drop, 2 pairs of piece bone gaiters full drops, a hard leather helmet drop.....this is WAAAY more than I ever got on Lionna. All those full drops are in addition to the usual cheap boots, gloves, pants and stuff that fall from keltirs for new players--I got all of that stuff too.
That's never happened to me before!
:( Only 2.7k or so for varnish in all actuality - that means instead of the 4 or 5 million I was fantasising about, I now have only like 3.something million to buy my D Grade with.
And you should try the manor Drakkos - it's very well run on Devianne, and will make you much richer than any full drop luck.
Maline--I will definately manor. I always have. It's going to sound funny but I've only manored with melee toons in the past so I'm kinda hoping to begin that with warsmith on devianne once he gets to 20+ and can go into NOS. I'm sure everyone else has figured out how but for the life of me I can't see how to manor with a dark wizard (unless you're really quick with a mouse/pointer). It would think since the attacks are stand off that it would be harder to seed and then tough to run up after the mob died in time to harvest.
As for your advice--I will definately manor. I've heard it's well run on Devianne and at least 2 people have dropped me pm's either on this forum or in-game and mentioned your name!
To date though most of my funds are from market. I got a bunch of eads cheap and resold them and also picked up 2 low grade clean d-weapons that were underpriced and resold them. Folks looking for quick adena are a good source of funds if you can do an overnight afk shop. I probably have 300k left over after buying low d-grade staff (since mithril was gifted to me) so I'm doing okay. The kindness of folks on Devianne in helping me with supplies has been great too.
Can't wait to at least be lvl 40 on the server!

the higher end is not so forgiving. trust me on that >.<
