gotcha. So the best way for me to level my new dwarf would be to keep using my pole then? But still I would like to know how big boom works. I really have no idea at all what it is.
Big boom, quite simply, is the WS's pet that uses an aoe attck. This attack destroys the pet so you can only use it once per summoning. A group of warsmith's all with big booms and polearms can take out trains easily and lvl quickly in this manner. Power leveling has been done with big booms for lower lvl players but, as stated by trizie, in C5 this will no longer be possible.

The big boom can be buffed, and use Blessed Beast shots, so it damage more.
The problem is that, IF you BOOM lets say 10 mobs and 6 survives, they ALL will turn on you right a way.
Now, when you big boom, and the WS is out of XP range, all the other chars in the party gets all the XP.
In C5, the WC will get HIS share of the XP NOMATTER how far he is from the Big Boom.
So it's not good to use for leveling lowbies anymore :(
Currently big boom is the only way to make use of the group aggro 1/2 hp mobs. Used to have huge ABG parties in C3 where you could pull 50-100 of the mobs in ABG, trainer comes in, tank hates, nukers nuke mobs die in about 1/2 second. This was nerfed in C4 in that nukes hit a limited number of mobs. After all, can't have people leveling too fast or using the game for what it was designed for.
Now, we have big boom. It was partially nerfed in C4 so that the farther the mobs are from the center of the blast, the less damage they do.
Put a low toon in with a WS, buff it with zerk, empower (outside of oren you need BSPS) run a huge train, boom them. How well does it work? First train put a level 1 toon to level 14. At level 35 or so, it's 3 trains per level.
Will still work somewhat in C5 as what you're dealing with is the huge number of mobs. So will cost more but won't be the end of booming up toons. Still will be a hell of a lot faster than regular.
The trains in ABG would only net you 600-800 xp per kill per person in a 9 person group...but multiply that by 50...how many mobs can you kill every two minutes that's worth 30000-50000K per person in group? And at the time I was a level 52 PP in a group of high 60 and 70's so I was getting ***** for exp.
Yes correct, like you use it with eg. a Mech.golem.
Just put the beast shots to your hot bar and right-click to make it activate automatic. This is actually not needed when you big boom, because it uses only shots once, then it explodes.
In my clan we have no big boom, so we use 2xWS with mech.golems to power level.
It is not nearly as efficient but it is still really fast compared to normal leveling.
When using Mech.golems you shall do the opposite of the big boom. You shall go for group mobs with high HP because they give a really good XP boost.
We used it to level a Bishop and a SE. We hunted Swamp Tribes in AI.
We had the following party setup.
- lvl56 DA to pull/hate swamp tribes
- lvl50 WS with mech.golem
- lvl55 WS with mech. golem
- lvl60 Prophet for buff (golems + DA)
- lvl60 SE for buffs (golems + DA) and heals for DA.
We could pull like 8-10 swamp tribes/buff round = approx. 25 swamp tribes / hour.
Each swamp tribe gives around 75.000 XP.
So within an hour the power leveled toon would get more then 3.000.000 - 3.500.000 XP.
Also the good thing is that a lot of Nos Lads are also around, so usually the DA pulled 1-2 Swamp tribes and 3-4 Nos Lads at the same time.
So compared to that the normally leveling speed, we could level the two toons from 1-40 and 1-35 in less then 10 hours.

And tezra you have like 4 characters. Tezra, Homiside, Nooman and the ultra original Nooman2. You should ask a gm to change the name to like tezrazoid or something cool like Qaisazoid or Fatimazoid, perhaps tezroid sounds cool, like a new steroid or would it be called tezrol? lol.

Dude, don't try to do it the candy-***** big boom way. Do it yourself and you'll feel so much better about it (I've done 3 toons to B grade and am proud of each one). The game is the journey, not the destination.

That depends. My destinations always end up being moving targets. Right now, my only destination is to get my SE to 58. After that, I'll think of a new one.
B grade is a significant milestone, no doubt. So much so that Elro hit it a few times. :) Still, accelerating your EXP to get there is one thing. Using an exploit to completely bypass a good chunk of your game experience is another. This is my personal opinion, however. I understand why people do it; it's just not for me.
I dont see it as an exploit. Give a dwarf explosives and he is going to blow something up.I think its safe to say I have already experienced everything the low levels have to offer. Time for me to experience some of the end game content and maybe avoid being called a noob so much. :p

Like I said, it's just not for me. That doesn't make it "wrong". Personally, I've never given a 923 what others call me.
Since I have never used it I can not identify the changes being made to it. I dont have the knowledge to argue my point. I just know I want to get somehwhere in this game. Im at least 2 years into it. Its time to get somewhere.

How good or bad is big boom showing itself in pvp? I mean does it have quite strong BOOOM ?
Big boom is useless in PvP. Allow me to explain why.
1. Once it's fuse is lit it can no longer move.
2. If slept, stunned, etc. the fuse goes out.
3. C5 erase gets rid of it completly, Dwarves can't buff thier servitors to avoid erase by themselves.
So big boom is easily avoided in PvP. Once lit just run away, stun it, sleep it, erase it, whatever. The odds of you being able to hit anyone with boom are very small.

Ok I just went and looked up bog boom to get a bit more info on it in case anyone forgot to tell me anything. We forgot the biggest part of it. "Nos you dont get big boom till level 58" ok cool using big boom to get to B grade isnt much of an option since its only 4 levels later. Yes I was asking about leveling myself with big boom. Mixed with my research and the info I got here I think I have all I need now! Thanks!

I got away with L2 with the wife becuase I got her to play to. Now if I can just get the baby to play then it will be sweet. I dont think she would be a good player though as her hand-eye coordination is a bit off.
