(sell) Recipes >>>dwarf item creator question...

Im new to all this and im a little confused about the recipes.
Sometimes when i click on a dwarf for creating an item,
some items need no recipe and other yes.. it can be 60%
or 100%.
My real question is HOW can a dwarf can show the item but
need recipe? Suppose to have it already no?

Anything B Grade or higher needs a recipe. The dwarf doing the crafting has to have it registed, and the person creating also has to have a recipe to create the item with.

Wait, so when a dorf is doing a private creation, it will actually use up your rec, and you wont have it in your inventory anymore?

Yes, when creating anything B grade or higher the creation process uses 1 copy of the recipe up. The registered copy the dwarf has stays in his recipe book, The other copy of the rec gets used to create the item. So to make 2 damascus swords a dwarf needs 3 recipes, the first to register and the next 2 for the swords being created.
